I’ve been whining about overheating for quite some time now and although I’m going 2JZ I still want to sort it out. In this video I install a Mishimoto X Line 3 Row radiator with their fan/shroud kit.

  1. You only need to bleed systems where the engine sits higher than the radiator. Ive spaced the radiator to sit above the engine to fill the system then bolted it on place. It works better than the breeders which love to break off.

  2. Why do you top off the overflow tank after bleeding? Coolant only travels into the overflow when it becomes too pressurized in the system and needs somewhere elsewhere to escape to.
I'm experiencing overheating on my SR, but my overflow is empty..

  3. hey adam!
new to the channel, loving it!
im no expert but maybe use a richer coolant water mixture like 50/50 which is considered ideal. (can come premixed aswell).
ofcourse all this is considering you havnt done it already..

also the dirty intercooler could reduce airflow..

    cheers!

  4. Doubt you'll see this but you should wrap the drain plug threads in that plumbers silicone tape, my mishimoto leaked from the plug very slowly once at operating temps on my subi. The tape fixed the leak at the plug and the fitting on the top for my rad. Unless i just had a shitty one from the factory.

  5. if your still having issues overheating I'd replace the water pump. when I rebuilt the motor in my supra there was only one blade left and it had the same issues would only overheat sometimes.

  6. If you keep having overheating issues try water wetter and water. I had issues with my turbo Ls1 rx7 getting hot but water wetter keeps the temps down
