  1. What are they talking about it was three ships full of Spanish men and they talk about the only one Italian , get out of here that’s a joke. By the way Christopher Columbus didn’t discover anything there was people already here. And he didn’t conquer anything because according to Spanish word he was a very cowardly man

  2. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Native American tribes were constantly in tribal warfare and constantly moving around the continent, each tribe disposessing the precious one for millenia – ever since the crossed out of Asia across the Beiring Strait – before Europeans arrived.

So there is no moral case for reparations.

  3. When the border crossed us in Texas, Anglos forced the Texas Rangers on us. They stole land from anyone other than English white. I have those records and I'm getting a check for the mineral rights. It's not much but I wanted my family to be recorded in Texas History

  4. Do you know that the indigenous people of America are responsible for more species of animals being hunted to extinction than any other people in the world

  5. Not stolen actually, more like gained… you know gained the way all European, African, Asian, Indian, Australian land was gained. Just saying not stolen

  6. What about the natives who forged alliances, sold lands, and were slaughtering each other upon European arrival? For all of the historical knowledge in these videos, I see a little gloss

  7. Those are white people not natives
    Second
    Native Americans already get reparations
They own half of Oklahoma now
    Third
It’s always interesting to see the difference in comments when it changes from black to some other group

  8. Wow, Ya’ll really are insane. I came here to get another viewpoint so that I have a better idea of the world around me, but this is insane. Columbus paved the way for the western world to move into America, and yes it did cause lots of bloodshed, but that was the price we had to pay. Also, Natives that think that they should just get land because it was “stolen” from them are sadly misinformed. Land is conquered and in doing so it becomes the conquering peoples land. That happened for thousands of years between tribes before Europeans arrived in the New world. The best way to get back homeland hunting grounds or religious sites is to buy them, and if you want to work hard enough at it, you can reach that goal. Also, Indians were not forced onto reservations, they were just told if they wanted to have a tribe and tribal lands they had to do it in the reservation, so many people went there. In fact, what other place in the world has the conquered people been given their own land for free and the ability to govern themselves. If you really think that Native Americans have it so bad, then you have never heard about all the other empires that rose and fell. Also there is a video by John Stossel that talks about how government subsidies to Natives are keeping them in poverty, and the tribes that aren’t recipients of government funding are doing much better. Look up the video, you will find it interesting. And finally the answer to all of your problems is capitalism, and if you work hard enough, leave the reservation to get a better job, and succeed in life you will be a whole lot better off than those living off the back of the government. In the end, I love Indians, and their Heritage, I have read many books about them and sympathize with them, but there is a right and a wrong way to go about doing things, and reparations is the wrong way.

  9. The "Five Civilized Tribes" owned slaves need to honor the 1866 treaty they signed agreeing to make their former slaves and their descendants tribal members. They have BROKEN that treaty.

  10. It’s a terrific story! Thank you. In my area, arrowheads were found easily, when I was a kid. We learned that indigenous people were terrific folks with an amazing heritage. But, years passed. Yesterday, I met a red/haired lady who said she had lived “with the Utes “. I told her about the new addition of the Ute Museum outside of Montrose, Colorado, where my son and I ran a licensed daycare in our house. (Then, at the museum, Chief Ouray and his wife Chipeta were honored. ) It was such a beautiful place. And, it still is.
