I’m just weary as a lot of other You Tube reviewers have mentioned the software has terrible lag to the point it’s unusable…. you didn’t mention this at all, did you see any lag or are you using a newer software build? Why is it soo ok laggy? I remember using Chrome OS of one of those cheap Chromebooks at school and it was the smoothest thing ever.
guys, why don't you review the true flagship android tablet : samsung tab s4, rather than reviewing pixel slate. How can you say : …this thing just flies, oh my god! just have a look at that stuttering.
Also, you guys review only few top brands, but the android is not limited to those 5 or 6 brands.
Google should be ashamed of themselves for using a Celeron Processor in 2018. You might as well not even consider this version as part of the line up. There’s a reason YouTubers are not publishing reviews using this version, talk about being laggy.
I commend your review, most of the reviewers on Youtube are only reviewing the Pixel Chromebooks because they are from Google but for that one week of review that's the entirety of familiarity with the platform. The fact that you can even recommend the HP Chromebook X2 would be an in platform alternative to the Pixel Slate, vs only mentioning the Surface or iPad Pro is awesome. Wish more reviewers would hold themselves to a higher standard that if you're not familiar with a product or platform then do everyone a favor…and just don't review it. Well at least until you can give the device it's fair justice.
Maybe I missed something, but other than being WAAAY over powered for a Chrome tablet (and having a nice screen), what makes this special? Chrome on a i5 (let alone an i7)…why? An I3 or even a Pentium would be lightning fast.

Funny. Just came from the Verge and the lag was horrendous. They said it was bad as a laptop OR tablet, and here they open the video saying the exact contrary.

Ipad Pros and Pixel Slates are for people who decided to be butthurt about Microsoft Surface stuff. It's good when the choices are out there, but that's the thing with choices – they're mostly irrational. Because if there's a device that's the best of both worlds – it's a device running Windows, however unhip that might sound.
The real problem here is that because Google wants to put the $ 600. 00 in the i7 much more expensive than the i5 which is $ 999.00 and apart it is much more expensive than the Surfer Pro 6 of microsof .. That is inseparable and has no logic. The i7 must cost $1200 and the keyboard is $ 200.00 and the pen is worth $ 100.00

Personally I hate that the app tray just becomes the desktop like iOS. Just keep the UI consistent. If I liked iOS I would just buy iPad pro that we all know is still miles better than this.
