This won’t always work, but if your window tracks are dry rotted, or are starting to stick, this method should help you.

  1. I thought I have some silicone spray in the garage what do I have to lose. I even had the track replaced a few years ago. It was the drivers side window, it started struggling going up and down again and sometimes just stop. I got my butt off the couch and sprayed it. It hauls butt going up and down now, I sprayed them all. Amazing, I have been looking at all these videos on what I might replace and looking at the costs. Hell yes, it is fixed. Thank you and now I will go and buy another can of this "Blaster" Industrial Strength silicone spray, it has a light green label. Another tip, my seat belts weren't retracting so I spayed them. Now they haul butt going back up after I unlatch it. Thanks again!

  2. Hello. Really appreciate if u can help me out. My car have two power windows. Driver(mainswitch) and pasanger. When i separately move up and down the windows, both working fine and fast. But, if move both spontaneously, the pasanger window will move slow. May i know what is the problem, and how can i fix that. Mitsubishi Lancer Coupe '95

  3. Had the same issue in my ‘96 Accord, replaced all motors and regulators, still went slow, then lubricated the tracks with silicon. That helped a bit before it started running slow again. Decided to check if there was an electric issue, found out the window controller in the drivers door ended up collecting a lot of dust and grime over the years. I ended up taking the controller out of the door and sprayed it down with electric contact cleaner. It cleaned up the switches internally and allowed for a better electrical connection to the window motors. Thus allowing more current to flow thru the switch to the motor of the window making it work more efficiently. Hope this can help someone too 👍🏻

  4. Eric! I have a 2000 Honda Civic and the driver side sun visor won’t stay up. Anyway to fix this?

  5. What would cause my driver side window to roll down just fine but roll up very slow and sometimes even stop. When it stops I have to wait a few minutes and then hit the button again to make it go up more. If I grab and pull the window while I'm hitting the switch the window will roll up fine.

  6. Hi Eric.

I have learned from you how to
    change the transmission oil and
I do enjoy doing it myself thanks
    to you.
