Two crashes that killed a total of 346 people were blamed in part on the MAX 8’s flawed flight control software MCAS. Boeing said it made a number of modifications and the planes are safe.

2:30 boeing took her indeed 😢
Both plane crashed due to pilot error. The problem was poor trained pilots. Sure MCAS was not perfect. The Ethiopian Max had the auto throttles on when it crashed. I'm sorry but the "experienced" captain should know better. That's what happens when you put a 300 hour typed rated FO in a shinny new jet. Most US airlines require thousands of hours before flying in the airlines.
Not telling the pilots about MCAS is unforgiveable.
Good that it's recertified took long enough
It Is outrageous that this aircraft is flying again.
NEVER FLY THIS FORSAKEN DOOMED AIRCRAFT!
BEAUTIFUL AIRPLANE!
BUT THE QUESTION IS, IS IT SAFE AND RELIABLE?
Great news put in the sky a plane that is A. I its built for disaster burn off the whole fleet
Another boeing crashed this month smh
Let's unite to support these families. Let's all not fly from these planes and forcing airlines to not buy these aircrafts. Let's hurt Boeing right where it hurts the most. Their pockets.
everyone freaking out about the max when in reality its probably safer now than most aircraft after vigorous testing the past 2 years, compared to many other aircraft it still has very low accidents and incidents compared to any other aircraft.
These planes should be scrapped or redesigned with smaller engines at the correct location. You can't fix a hardware flaw with software.
Fake new, what did you expect the family would say? They re going to get as much money as they could get.
I have lost all respect for Sully. He should have known better to trash the aviation industry. He knew damn well that he would not have crashed a MAX, like other well trained American pilots. If it's not Boeing, I ain;t going.
Just sounds like Boeing paid off wealthy safety inspectors more wealth so they can have another try at faulty software destined to cause more innocent casualties. Because when you’re as rich as they are you can buy your way out of all legal responsibilities, we saw this is the Big Pharma being allowed to just pay a fine for peddling their “legal†drugs.
How can they still sleep peaceful at night, son ?
Well, just sleep.
Learn that harsh psychopath world if you'd look forward to become a CEO of a big company.
Perhaps a steak after killing a hundred is a good idea too
Engines over the wings still ? No thx
@Appable The wrong positioning of those engines is the reason why those planes pitch up at an unacceptable degree or angle….so they tried to auto correct the problem using MCAS assuming that the pilots didn't need to know about the system…even when it was going to be obvious to anyone that the plane was nosing down to stay in the right flight path during ascension….boeing should have at least told the pilots about MCAS so they wouldn't have to keep pulling up the flight control levers..an action which kept triggering MCAS counter action. Simple common sense.
Who ever invented the MCAST and know about the design of this aircraft should be in jail.
Last time Boing and FAA said it was safe they lied. Way should we believe them this time?
Honestly I rather fly C919 than Max. A new documentary of c919 just came out :https://youtu.be/w9wd5pdG-3Q
I’m not flying on the Boeing 737 Max every. I’m not gonna to play Russian roulette with my life on this evil trouble plane that kill hundreds of people
Why does outrage that is based on pain or distrust have anything to do with a technical safety recertification of a piece of equipment? It is the media's preference, or the people's preference, that engineering decisions should be based on emotions? Being outraged about the accidents, or the faulty design and operation of the previous sensor/software suite or the safety culture at Boeing, etc., is fine. The storyline isn't even valid that "Boeing said it made a number of modifications…" Really? That's what the recertification is based on? ABC News needs to get a grip on reality that's a little above sophomoric sensationalizing and appeal to the irrational in human nature, especially about a decision that needs to be utterly rational and mature. Ridiculous.
"If it’s a max I ain’t pax"
737 max, flying coffin
Boeing put profits before human lives and they know that but would never admit it in this situation with the 737 max
I'm rather take not 737max travelling.
so much for being the most popular selling commercial airliner. man that is sad
Corporate Greed kid, its unfortunate. I feel for those who lost a loved one or been affected by this. RIP
My dear God, the lady crying for her daughter at the end was heartbreaking. Surely someone has to be held criminally liable for this. Surely.
If they fixed it and can confidently prove it, I don't have a problem with seeing it fly again
Boeing should donate a few to museums, scrap the rest, develop a new airliner or restart production of the 737 next generation. I would not step on a 737 Max.
So many people claiming they'll never fly on a MAX again… well do you actually check what aircraft you fly on? Or do you just book whatever suits you?
And please, the A330 had a similar issue to the MAX, see QF72. Airbus didn't get the backlash MAX did only because the pilots were competent enough and Airbus covered it up.
Murder ! Greed !
If you want to know how to expose a 737 MAX, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NP78Qj0BvHw&ab_channel=CoreReport
I hope they all sue and bankrupt the company. There has to be accountability. Stop being so fucking greedy!
Oh give us a break. Simple people don't understand the technology and how a software re write can fix the MCAS system.
When I see them blubbering away like spoiled children on television, it makes me think of an over exaggerated victim impact statement…seeking some kind of a payout.
What did these simpletons think was going to happen? That Boeing, the Airlines, The Leasing companies, unions, and various international governments were just going scrap hundreds of new aircraft?
Grow up.
Happiness is on a United airlines DC 10
I don’t think Boeing’s reputation will recover from these 2 crashes. Other Boeing’s other planes will continue to fly but not the MAX. Hardly anyone will want to fly in one.
Good job Boeing from learning the mistake, you cant bring back the 346 lost souls but you can honoring them by not having anymore accident in future
LONG DISTANCE EFFECTIVE LOVE SPELL THAT REALLY WORK.
There are some guidelines or procedures that need to be followed every time you cast the spell to make the spell effective, and that takes someone who have some high skills or have been doing these rituals for some time, and to cast the long distance effective love spell for individual or someone that the spell is directed to can be very complicated, but the real caster can do all that because he knows how to cast all different spells and to perform all the rituals combining all the strong herbs that the fake casters can find it very confusing to do. At least now if a Max crashes, all the deaths will be labeled Covid deaths, so it won't be Boeing's fault.
Shut the f up
They fixed it
Let the bird fly
If it’s Boeing, then I’m not going.
Lets see how those bonuses look.
