Take the criminal out of the drug trade, and give the addict safe narcotics. Follow the lead set by other developed countries. The violent crime will go down.The deaths will stop, and one more citizen can become a poductive tax payer.
    And even the Cartels can stay in business by providing the US government with safe/pure drugs. Each economy improves. And the destabilizing violence and corruption will end.

29. Here’s a thought, If you can’t control the entry of this substance to into the country, the production of it only requires the procurement of precursor chemicals, and all you need is underground labs to manufacture it, why not manufacture and distribute within the US?
    You won’t get rid of the substance addiction problem, but you do get rid of the distribution and smuggling organizations that transfer this stuff across the border.

    It’s like the issue we have with other synthetic drugs. If this doesn’t require growing and harvesting the way coke does or marijuana, then why do you need to manufacture it in mexico?
