And now we look at the smaller of Sony’s new flagship phones, the Xperia ZL, and pit it against the flagship Google device that has consistently been flying off the shelves, the Nexus 4.

  1. all people complaining about the ZL not having the glass back cover, but the plastic one.. Why the fuck would you want a glass cover? You have to always clean it because it's constantly full of grassy fingerprints.. and in winter the glass gets so cold if you keep your phone outside for a couple of minutes to text or something, that you can barely place your fingers on it's back..

  2. You cant tell from the video, but the 1080p screen looks really good in person. Reading text on web pages looks like reading text off of printed paper, but the viewing angles are not great. colours look pretty faded if youre not looking straight at it. I didnt spend much time with it at the store, but comparing both phones, the xperia definitely shows a more realistic looking image than the nexus 4. In the end though, the nexus 4 is the better value.

  3. I find 1080p a big scam. On my Nexus 4, I cannot see pixels. The Nexus 4 has IPS LCD vs TFT LCD on Sony's, which is…a sucky technology. You can see that in the video. Choose the Nexus 4, equal or better in almost everyway.

  4. Putting the front facing camera on the bottom because people ten to look down during video chats. Now that's pretty smart if you think about it.

  5. I liked iPhone, and it was impressive in, like, 2008, when they were actually better than others, now there are phones many phones which are a lot better than iPhone… And some companies do make android phones which aren't that large.

  6. iPhone isn't really "crappy". It's a very impressive piece of hardware, well built and is pretty damn fast for it's size. I wish companies made droid phones that powerful that aren't massive

  7. Nexus 4 is a great phone, especially when it comes with the fastest updates, it'll be very strong until Google decides to end it.
but I have to say that it is very VERY hard to get this device, and it doesn't even come in $350 price tag in my country ($600).
It lacks memory space, no micro SD, no FM radio (my preference),and feeble glass back.

Soo, yeah, Xperia ZL it is

  8. Which would mean that the Nexus would work more fluidly due to lack of processing.
But I guess a quad-core anything should be fine operating either displays.

  9. Though Nexus is a bang for its buck, i gotta hand it to sony for the features like Dragontail glass and 13mp camera on the ZL and water resistance on the Z which are pretty practical in daily life usage. Nexus = worth its price, Xperia ZL also worth its price!

  10. for you type of people who keep saying 1080p on a 5 inches phone is useless and no one will ever see the differences than you people really need to take a trip to Verizon store and compare the Droid DNA with 720p phone and see how stupid and wrong you people really are. stop acting like you know everything when you don't know shit.

  11. Nexus does win however both phones serve different purposes. Consider cost vs performance yes, though it's the development behind the programmers in which the Nexus phone is a clear winner. If the hardware entices beyond, by no means turn the Xperia down.

  12. funny, when apple comes out with a phone with good enough specs all android fans hate on it, but when google does it people justify it by saying ¨I dont really need it¨

  13. oyeeee,,, It has been a problem with SONY,, still some 2012 xperia devices haven't got ICS ( which they promissed to deliver before 2013 .!!)
