1. So the Chief dismisses an officer without due process! This is pandering to mob rule. He is a weak man who himself should be dismissed.

4. I see a lot of people commenting that Floyd died from an overdose, especially since he swallowed more pills during the arrest, but he died from asphyxiation. Regardless of the amount of drugs Floyd took, Chauvin took his life and no one will ever know if the drugs would have caused a death by overdose.

The shopkeeper has only suspected Floyd gave him a fake $20 note, it was not even proven or anything, so this whole thing is a Greek tragedy.But from now on, all police officers will learn to be a lot more careful when they handcuff their clients. So it is not all bad. I hope no riots in 2 weeks' time. I don't think citizens should be given the unconditional rights to film.

6. It's a case of incompetence & negligence & lack of cognitive thinking. It is not intended murder. Manslaughter might be, these are very loose terms, jury has to sit on these legal technicality.

15. If this happens, it will mark the end of the impartial judicial system in America. It is absolutely unheard of that a Police Chief of a city would testify against anyone unless the Chief happened to be involved in the incident that gave rise to the trial. This is out and out black racism and this is especially true given the Medical Examiner's autopsy report. For the municipality to impugn its own ME's report and seek other medical opinions to mollify an emotionally charged segment of the population is the beginning of the end of any justice. The Medical Examiner did not find any evidence that the knee on the throat of Floyd played any factor in his death. The ME did not give any pulmonary reason for the cardiac event that killed Floyd. I am outraged and not because I want to protect the police. It is a simple matter of a fair trial and I really don't want to hear how blacks have not gotten equally fair treatment in our justice system.
