Working on a Civic Wagon ef 1.6L sohc vtec. Car would crank but not start up, and has intermittent spark. When car stopped “running” it would back fire and shudder, this is a common problem for 88-91 d16s. Video explains the rest.

I have a 91 Si Hatch same thing happened to mine just died coming off the freeway. Replaced the alternator and nothing, has fuel pressure and spark. Cars been sitting for months I want to get it back on the road.
