Thank goodness this is here! My Nexus 7 2013 took a fall that I thought at first was just a slight crack. As the day wore on, the screen started going nuts and became unusable. Even though it's old, this is still one of the better 7 inch tablets out there. Worth the fix!
Wow thank you for this review, i managed to take out everything with jus screwdrivers and unfortunately ur site doesnt ship to where i live so i ordered one off ebay with bezel and all because my bezel has some damage but thank you so much for it
I've had this tablet for 2.5 years and I still love it!⥰>JustU.Faith/NexusTab?é‚ I watch videos, YouTube etc. on it every day. The resolution is fantastic, it's fast and I've had no glitches. It is currently updated to Android Version 6.0.1. I think that's amazing! I shop, do research, read ebooks, do business and watch tv on it. I no longer take a laptop with me on trips because this device works perfectly for everything I want to do on the internet! Best tablet ever!!
When I took mines apart. It was a Non Frame Assembly. I did not exposed the battery> Is difficult to explain !
I have two bad Nexus 7 and I'm going to use this video to rescue one them and give the other a nice burial.

I know this is an old video but I appreciate it so much! I gave my old Nexus 7 to my children for games and my 3 year old cracked the screen. Easily purchased a new screen and digitizer with a bezel and replaced for a fraction of the price of a new tablet! Thank you again.

here is another tip, get exactly what you need. i had two nexus 7s and one was busted screen, one had a fried hard drive…but since they were different years they didn't quite fit on the back….damn
step 6 is hard, my motherboard had a lot of sticky tape on the back….pretty hard to peel off.
You didn't even show us where all the screws are. I spent ten minutes putting screws in and out on the bottom half because your little picture doesn't show.
can I use another screen and digetiser from the same tablet and fix the tablet
Inserting guitar pick like he on 1:10 trying to remove the back cover – it is the way I actually cracked my digitizer :)))
I had opened it thousand times previously just with nails, and it was ok, untill I tried to open it like a pro with pick.
So, now I'm here.

Thanks for the vid my sons Nexus had packed up completely so I cannibalised the screen on his and swapped onto my daughters Nexus replacing her broken screen I would say you have to be patient and gentle when replacing etc.

When you replace the cracked screen and digitizer with the new one, do you have to reinstall the games you downloaded and unlock everything again? Even with the backup safety linked to your Google account?

Hello i just replaced my LCD but the touch screen isnt responsive.
what did i do wrong ( the tow display connectors are properly connected )
Way too sloppy for such a delicate repair. You might at least tell us to what version this video applies to (you know, there are two Nexus7 generations out there).

Hi,i have a nexus 7 2012 that its screen has been cracked and the touch screen and the LCD inside still function well.I wonder that do i need to replace both the outside glass and the touch screen inside of it?
