Have heard recently that it does not effect the outcome if a severely injured person stays conscious or not. Helps if they can tell u what happened to them or who did it though.

Seeing it from an EMS perspective, the dude that got shot in the head is incredibly lucky to only lose his sight and not his life.
His face was so swollen..

lol.. i can't imagine the pain he's going through… it reminds me of the time i was pushed out of the window and i was bleeding very heavily from my head..but I guess the pain i felt is nothing close to this
