Trying To Get Clean In A Bad Motel…

3. I was raised by parents who were opioid addicts, mom died when I was 10, dad will die from it. I'm in my 30s & I can promise you I would much fucking rather have had missed my mom for only 9 months instead of missing her for all these years.

   What I think you're scared of, is it being hard. Its easy to stay where you're at, as much as ytou hate your current situation.. you've got a routine, and its easy to keep it. FORCE yourself to make the change. Do that 9 month program. You got a kid man, its worth it.. Coming from someone whos been there, and this year Im 12 years clean. trust me, if my dumbass can hit double digits, you can surely do it.

5. All you can do Joe is try and get him help in the end its all up to him he dont look ready yet sense he said hes is weak minded he has alot of major issues he needs to confront and learn how to deal with all his issues..

7. First u said blown head gasket is the oil milky? If so that's a head gasket. I got clean with methadone and I've talked with many on methadone and we all get clean different ways I know u know that. Anyways not everyone needs a rehab program most are scams man. I wish anyone struggling with opiates the best it's hell but try methadone or soboxone rehab or whatever you think will help you. One problem many have with methadone is they feel they have to stop. You don't. I've been on methadone about a decade and I plan on going to the clinic for th e rest of my life. Something people don't talk about is the mental withdrawals. They start around a month after your last use. They are actual hell the physical withdrawals are bad but the mental drains all the color from the world crippling depression because the opiates change your brain and you have a hard time finding joy in anything suicide starts looking like a great idea. But the. Methadone keeps you ok if you have been on opiates for years you have a hard road ahead of you really rehab should keep you a year or something but who wants to do that? 20. I thank God I NEVER got addicted to pills. I got injured at work and needed them but only took them when the pain was off the charts. I ask my doctor once why I never went that route and he told me flat-out ….. Consider yourself a lucky one. I still seek pain management. True pain is no joke.

22. Get your friend on suboxone… Methadone gets into your bones and fucks you up. Get him to a Suboxone doctor, quickly… Suboxone you must get him suboxone he can live anywhere with Suboxone it saved my life… They even have a month long shot that goes into his stomach and he will be good a month with one shot.

23. Man I really hope this dude stays clean!! My brother has a little over two years clean off opiates. I am 161 days clean off Xanax. Feels good brother if I can do it. You can do it.

25. Methadone ain't clean. It's better than dope (kinda) but its addictive af on it's own and even harder to stop. Even if you transition to subs. It certianly helps to get out of that junkie lifestyle because it's long half life and legit obtaining. But it's like taking morphine to get off heroin or codeine to get off morphine. And so ok n and so forth

26. 9 months ain't that long to get the rest of your life back man. It's hard, but the only other options are dead or in jail. Period.
