1320Video’s Holiday DVD #5: Pump Gas Drags 2006! How competitive would some of todays INSANE Horsepower cars be if they were all limited to running regular pump gas for an entire event? Well, Hot Rod Magazine used to put on an event that where you could only participate on Rocket Brand Pump Gas, requiring you to find ways to SQUEEZE out power however else you could! Not only were you only allowed to run pump gas, but you could also only compete on a Drag Radial as well! With TWO of the major components of a deadly setup removed, racers were forced to find other ways to prove they we’re actually the fastest car around!

“Once again, Hot Rod Magazine shows us some of the baddest and fastest steerable hot rods in the nation! Rather than making them drive long distances as they do in Drag Week event, the cars are required to run drag radials and 93-octane pump gas. Sure, plenty of people can make a car fast with those requirements, but there aren’t too many people that can make them run EIGHTS in the quarter mile with those restrictions!”
