How quick are the updates on the Samsung tabs vs nexus 7? Im trying to decide which to get but I don't want to be stuck on an old android version for weeks after the nexus 7 gets it.

Nexus 7 has an under clocked snap 600. For its price, I don't think its possible to have better. The small speed difference will only truly be noticeable in benchmarks and 1 or 2 fps in asphalt 8, and I don't want to even guess how much the Samsung tab will cost and how touchwiz will compare to aosp.
Why is your Nexus 7 still on Jelly Bean? Updating it first would have been better.

Why does everybody think that nexus 7 has a snapdragon s4 pro? It doesn't. It has a slightly underclocked snapdragon 600. Keep that in mind. Still prefer the Nexus 7 over anything. You can even see that the galaxy Tab pro lags in the homescreen!
Why don't you update the Nexus 7 into Kitkat?
Oh man, UPS is delivering my xmas present the outdated Note 8" tomorrow. I wish I knew when this is comimg out. I already have a Samsung Tab 3 10.1, Nexus 7 2012, and the first 5.3" original Note 1. This is crazy!

Shouldn't it be VS G Pad? Nexus 7 was the comparison tablet when 7" was a standard but we should move on.
Well, I feel its still has a bit UI lags, look at 1:47 I felt like its heavy box to move xD not fast response with finger touch.
Oh good lord, I really want this one. 8.4 sounds like the golden ratio for me.
Sadly, I already have the Note 3, I would be boring holes in me wallet.
