98 Type R Supercharged – EricTheCarGuy
This car belongs to a friend of mine. He is selling it, wish I had the money. I’ve done a fair amount of work on this car, it’s a joy to work on, no dirt or rust to speak of. Funny I never got to drive it but I did make this video for him to use like an add. It is a different style that I’ve never tried before.

This one my fave cars
You're fighting over what probably makes 0.1 s difference in 0-60 and 2-3 mph top speed!
you are wrong, stock HP is 195 and its a type R
Looks like a real type R to me, and I've had one 12 years.
I'll pay with my body
you're a fool, that is a REAL type-R, it's USDM which has 195hp stock, and with a 7lb supercharger it would put down close to 250 @ the crank.. you're talking about the JDM type-R which had 210hp… don't make corrections if you don't know what youre talking about
@SharpyBoy221 how do u kno if its a real Type R…stop talking and just enjoy, plus its the gsr that makes about 180hp, ls makes lower hp
@SharpyBoy221 Wow you really know your stuff thanks for your input.
@EricTheCarGuy They are 180 hp, if its a real type R it would be ABOUT 200hp…to the crank…max….new…but its not a real type R and its not 250.
@MurderLabel No, but stock the hp is 199, with the supercharger at 7lb of boost I think it brought it up to 250 or so.
@ProjectCarTV I'm not a Dr. but I play one on TV. 🙂 Seriously that sucks, I think that is also part of the SoCal life as it's not as bad in OH but now that I've said that…..
@EricTheCarGuy Anything that I put that much time and effort into, I keep in the garage. The GSR had a 50 State Legal Edelbrock Turbo kit on it. It used a GT28RS turbo and I made 280hp. I could have made much more but the block was still stock – non sleaved and I didn't have a deck block at the time. Deck blocks were used in mid 2000 before Darton was making sleeves for B series. I've built an 759hp B18C in the past though. The Acura was stolen from my work, secure garage for Drs. I'm not a Dr.
@ProjectCarTV And you wonder why people steel your cars? I guess they figure you'll never catch them if they actually get away.
@EricTheCarGuy I also have an Innovative Wideband O2 sensor, Greddy Profec B boost controller, GTech RR for street tuning and testing, HKS diverter valve, 3" mandrel bent turbo back exhaust – all Magnaflow – 3" polished aluminum intercooler piping, ported and polished head. You name it I have it. All waiting to go into that primered up POS. Thats the main car I'll be doing. Other plans are for my 1988 Ford Festiva. I'm swapping a 2.5L V6 from an MX6 into it right now – it fits. It's been done.
@EricTheCarGuy I'll be rebuilding the entire thing on YouTube. I honestly have about $10,000 worth of parts. Everything from MSD ignition, to suspension will be addressed. I have all the goodies – Fidanza aluminum flywheel, SouthBend Clutch, Pauter Rods, Wiseco Pistons, Manley Valves, Supertech springs, Titanium retainers, Megasquirt ECU (built it myself) Subaru STi turbocharger, Evo intercooler, Energy Suspension, Tockiko springs, Clevite 76 Bearings, 660cc injectors. I have it all.
@ProjectCarTV My favorite kind of car personally.
