This is a video response to the Honda main relay video that I posted. I’ve had a lot of questions about that video and I felt this would be a good response. I can’t stress enough how much you need to perform this quick test safely. Make sure you keep any and all ignition sources away from the spraying gas or you may regret it. 1. Hi If my F-Pump successfully primes… is there a way for Me (alone) to check the ‘running-pressure’? while cranking? (i reckon i would have to disable/clutch pedal switch to crank-it) just wondering if its Safe. -and Thank You for sharing!!!!

  2. So I'm assuming that wasn't a 1998-2002 accord. I dont see a fuel filter in that area of my 2002 accord, 2.3 L engine. I just started to inquire about fuel filter because my kids car doesn't stay on more than a second and was told it only has a filter in the gas tank with the fuel pump, would that be correct? Thanks for you're time, Erick the car guy!

  3. Ok so I got a Honda prelude 1998 we think its the fuel pressure but don't know for sure. My brother says we have to take the whole engine apart but I dont think so and im kinda new to cars but also have been really getting into cars. Can u give me any advice on what I could check or fix up

  4. My 91 honda had gas spray out the cracked fitting once, but I can't get it to do it again. The factory relay clicks audibly and you can feel it click as well. The aftermarket replacement relay doesn't really click audibly, nor can you feel it click like the factory one does, but when you rotate the key to the first position with either relay installed, you can hear the fuel pump running for 3 seconds through the fuel door with the gas cap removed. Could the fuel pump be "working ", but still not be pumping any fuel? There is fuel in the tank. Thanks!

  5. Old dirty fix it all with some gum mechanic with acigarette in mouth like his gonna die without it checking for fuel leaks under the car , gotta love me

  6. I got a 1996 Acura integra ls it will start an run but after so long around when it gets to run temp it will die randomly no one in the car or even going down the road when on the gas but if I pump the gas when it s diein out some times I can save it by pumping the gas I did change main relay to another one I had same problem went got new one an it ran for a while an started to do it again I had to change a coolant temp senser an was doing good seem to be fixed an now it’s doing it again sat all winter I can go start it right up but it will die around run temp any idea what this is I was throwing parts at it getting no where maybe the igniter in the dizzy or fule pump ? Or any idea ?I do have a place wher cage wireing looks little weird to but it ran fine an an this jus started after driving all winter with no problems an as the temp got lil more warm it started to act up I seince got a tl but I’m keeping the integra an trying to get it going do a trans swap an few things like that where it’s auto an I got a b16 2 b18 an a b20b4 an 2 an a half 5 speed trans an linkage an pedals an every thing to swap my integra to a 5 speed off a parts teggy 5 speed 😉

  7. I have 97 civic that won’t turn on it cranks and had spark and compression but no fuel pressure so I replaced the main relay from my other Honda that works still nothing I also just replace the fuel pump with a new one and a fuel filter. What do you think it is? There’s no fuel leaks either.

  8. My 2000 Acura integra start at times fine no problem but at her times I have a hard time starting it unless I push on the gas for a few times

  9. Followed video, found I have no fuel pressure. replaced Main Relay with Honda OEM part. Still finding no voltage at Fuel pump. Any help is appreciated!

  10. Hello boss I have a 1993 Honda Civic and it doesn't wanna turn on…the car cranks and it feels like it wants to turn on but it doesn't… I have new battery spark plugs and wires and I have spark on all 4 cylinders

  11. 92 accord replace main fuel pump relay a couple of times. Prime and pressurize fuel system. Car would start for about 10 seconds then die. Try restarting but no fuel pressure. What could be the problem?

  12. Hey Eric I have spent the last few weeks trying to get my 91 civic running again after suddenly breaking down on the freeway. I have done quite a bit of work on it already and i did this test to see if the pump was feeding fuel to the engine and it did spray out but it doesnt stop like normally after being primed what does that indicate? Would this be a filter issue or a regulator else where? I appreciate any help you can lend me thank you

  13. I lost a little tube fuse it was inside a little spring that was also sticking out of my ignition coil, my fuel pump relay is new and wasn't working I then put the spring back in the ignition coil and then the fuel pump relay worked but not the pump I went to home depot and ace got the smallest tube fuses and they don't seem to fit also that red light on my ecu doesn't turn on , the crx ran good tell the fp relay popped more like (RRRRRRRRBANG!),it cranks up still, I got spark, wires good, fuse good, switch relays good ,Fuel injectors good, ect ect….. But no ecu red light and my fuel pump is not priming but she sounds like she wants to SCREAM to come back to life….. Could it be… That tiny little tube fuse

  17. Loved your video! I need help. I have 2001 honda accord. Stars like normal when you put into drive then 20 sec. Goes into limp mode 10 miles an hour

  18. Hi Eric,
Thanks for this great Videos You Are rock man! My Accord 1991 sometimes doesn’t start and when it starts drives for while and then shuts off I’d say 5 min it’s driving my nuts!!

  19. What if your fuel filter is inside the tank? Can you use the regulator or some other easily accessible part? 2003 Honda Pilot here and dont have an external fuel filter but do have an external transmission filter go figure lol. Thanks in advance and I'm glad there were no fires.

  20. Alright brother I like your videos, you’re helping me out alright in this b series but I was wondering if you respond to any comments cause is seems to be like 10 year old videos

  21. Most honda fuel pressure regulators are NOT that easy to get to . i have 1999 ex 3liter. NOT easy. I hate honda for being so hard to work on. I also hate modern cars.
