It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years, not just because it doesn’t seem like that long but it actually seems like I’ve been doing this forever. My hope is that this is the year for ETCG where things really get off the ground and start to move forward. I hope you’ll join me as it looks like it’s going to be fun. Some of you may notice a few clips that you haven’t seen yet, I hope before the year is out that you get a chance to see some of these videos I’ve been promising forever, thanks for your patients.

  1. I am glad you are on here buddy, I've been following you on YouTube for about two years now, you have really helpful videos that's been guided me through my tough times.. Thanks a bunch Eric The Car Guy!!

  2. Yeah, Honesty in ones profession is the best policy. BUT the pay back is slow and tedious.
Most employers DONOT even deserve an honest employee.

  3. Hello Eric, my name is Riyad, I am from Iraq. Before watching your videos, the only thing I knew how to do was replacing I tire! After watching all your videos, now I can do almost all fixing my car needs. Thanks a lot, you are great help, you are great teacher.

  4. Thank you Eric you make my life much easier and bring much needed guidence to my newly budding career choice as a Automotive Technician.

  5. @MeowJW I'm glad you liked the video, those were hard times but they are behind me now and ETCG is doing very well so it all worked out in the end I just had to wait it out. Thanks for the comment.

  6. From your voice in the video I can tell you were getting emotional. It's inspiring to see that you worked real hard to pull yourself out of those dark times. It makes me want to try harder to be a better tech. Keep up the great work Eric!!

PS What's that at 4:12?!! – didn't need to see that!!

  7. Hey EricTheCarGuy! I've felt exactly the same way you did when you wrote that letter to the ASE, except I was in the computer industry. I am now attending a technical school and working towards becoming an automotive technician – something I enjoy far more than computers. I've been watching all your videos for inspiration as well as information. Thank you!

  8. @pahriz It was that realization that prompted me to start ETCG in the first place, the fact that may people were out there struggling, I figured I had the time and the know how so I might as well help them and perhaps help myself in the process.

  9. it's hard all over Eric, it really is. I'm a teacher and the profession is going through alow point…blame the teachers for everything including the economy. I don't know how that's supposed to make you feel better, but I guess my point is"You are not alone!" Stay strong Eric!!!

  10. @danturnbow Yea, it's funny how bad things turn out to be good things. Thanks for your comment. BTW the Integra video is available on the ETCG site, I just posted it yesterday.

  11. Happy birthday!! and im sorry about your low point but i'm glad u had it, Cuz without it i wouldnt know much about cars or you ril now 🙂 thanks!! I need to get that integra clutch cd!!

  12. @TNT66613 I'm happy to keep making videos for as long as I can. Auto-mechanics can be a great way to make a living I wish you the best of luck. Thanks for your comment.

  13. Good job Eric, it's nice to hear a bit of your story, along with some words of encouragement for those like myself starting in the automotive tech field. Keep making vids I look forward to them Cheers!
