  1. Xiaomi is another Chinese copycat phone makers..join the bandwagon with ZTE, Huawei..etc. the main reasons that many Chinese makers wouldn't export in the U.S. market is they will sue by other companies…true!

  2. My favourite tech reviewer, Josh. Always finely worded, never too biased, and seldom copied. The best fluid sharp video-graphy blowing documentary style production away!

So I want to put you way ahead of other reviewers and commentators online with this simple tip, that I feel would apply for all future reviews and getting even better credibility. (this stems from my first job 15 years ago where I had unwittingly pronounced a Spanish city incorrectly but gained super mileage later by making sure I did it correctly ever since AND other spanish words)

So the tip is simply: use Google Translate. And type "小米" and you will be able to hear the actual pronunciation of this product and brand correctly, perhaps the first ever western reviewer to get it right.

  3. Hi Joshua Xiaomi only released 3G version in China currently. The 4G version will be available in China starting Sept but not sure whether the LTE bands in US suite it or not. Definitely it doesn't suite the ones in Malaysia for the time being once it is being released

  4. Nah nah nah, i am a hong konger, and Xiaomi can see everything on your phone, control it, delete things! Maybe you'll ask, where will my things end up? "China!". A lot of people thought that's fake, but that Xiaomi just officially admitted that! Holy xxxx!
Just get an iPhone, at least your private information won't end up in Beijing.

  5. funny thing about the whole "it looks like X phone"… it's been compared to the iPhones or like you said, the S5… but the moment i saw it i thought it looks like the old S2 instead

  6. I actually prefer the MIUI way of dealing with apps. I have a the dailer, camera, browser, calculator in the dock. Whatapp, File Manager, Shazam and the Play Store right above them. Way above that is the Google Search bar on the home sceen. On the other page I have MIUI's awesome transparent calendar widget and after that page I a page with all the categorized folders for my apps. I find my apps much quicker now.  App Draws are inefficient and I never realized until I started using MIUI ROM.

  7. It is so much more then just copying the exterior of the iPhone they even basically make an iOS theme for android. And they wonder why their not allowed to export to most marks. Hmm
