A viewer named Alex sent me an email offering up his extremely rare 5 Speed Manual e39 BMW 5 Series. The price… FREE! He took very good care of it, but typical with any 20 year old BMW, it came with a few issues, and a crazy back story…

Carly has a free version of their app to go with their OBD2 scanner. That gives you access to the standard OBD features and is a quick way to test what else Carly can do for your specific car. To unlock advanced features that could be available for your cars, such as coding or unlimited used car checks, you can upgrade to the yearly license

The vacuum leak may have been done by volvo to make the engine run lean for their emissions study

Inductive hating then cooling. Do a couple of cycles.
Try to remove when warm but not red.
Hey does the Carly work on a 1990 Lexus LS400?
Ya gotta put a little heat on those steel bolts in aluminum. They’ll come right out.
Neat trick is to use candle wax. If you light a candle and let the wax drip onto the threads it will work its way in between the threads and where it's threaded in. Let it cool for a few minutes and it should come out (more) easily. Worked like a charm on some exhaust manifold bolts on one of my cars and one of my motorcycles.
Maybe those Swedish guys poked some holes in the manifold for "fuel efficiency" 😅
The water comes from the door foil not sealing, If you don't fox that you can throw that car right away anyways..
What the hell? I have this exact spec 2002 530i. White with black M sport interior.
Want mine too? lmao
Induction heat would work best
A next car to sit in the barn to catch dust…..😪
I don't think I've ever seen an e39 without a sunroof. Looks like a very nice car
Bought my ticket! Glad I could help!
Too late for this car, but for anyone else reading this… get a punch and hammer on the top of the bolt heads, ie the part where the socket doesn't go. All the directed shock will break the corrosion crust. Some heat is ok, but you should take it easy on cast aluminum.
You can just buy one of these from Europe. It's really nothing special. If it is tell us what is so special about it?
manual transmission in Europa is normal… special for cars around 2000s
We need more guys like that. Awesome dude, giving away a car and Sam fixing it up for charity ðŸ‘ÂÂ
First time I actually saw the entire sponsored section lol
I miss my e39. 2002 530i. Felt like driving a bullet. I now drive a very lazy e38, 1999 728i.
Looks like Adam Sandler
Weld a nut to it
Yup
I think i would buy this car în this configuration….
Like the colour and wheels
Heat the studs with oxy acetylene torch and weld nut at the end.
