  1. That was so Extra making your mans feel bad, the way he said he lives there made it worse, smh NOT COOL you can see how uncomfortable he was when talked about it.

  2. Car guys don’t updates they do mods let’s mod this house 🤣🤣

  3. Buying a house can be a real pain in the butt but hey it's a good investment and if you like living it then that's when it's all worth it

  4. Check with the City. You must leave space between your neighbor and your garage. It's called side yard I think. The whole double car idea might not go very far

  5. That bedroom is insane. I think the only thing I would want changed is I would want a jacuzzi style tub with the double head shower. Besides that it's awesome.

  6. He said “lawyers” and I thought “Eleanor”

  7. Perhaps you could have the driveway redone completely and take the hard angles out of it? Or make some “temporary” steel ramps where it’s bad? But also you can try a more perpendicular angle at the bottom and try to get your front right tire to the driveway before the chin spoiler.

  8. Honestly that house needs tons of work. Not sure I would have gone through with the purchase. Especially with that awful driveway and that being the main point of moving.

  9. RIP your wallet. I bought my house 2 years ago south of seattle and had to give 35k over, with a similar feeling of financial pillaging. House projects are fun, in a different way, and equally as frustrating. Best advice I can give a car guy from my experience is plan your house projects more thoroughly than your car projects. You will always find surprises on the house, and those can make huge delays and issues for those living in it. I'm single, so it only affects me. But your partner also has to live in it, so having a contingency plan ahead of time can make the project surprises easier for them.

  10. There are several good comments on lath and plaster. To add to those, lath and plaster works great over old 2x4s that may not be planar. To put drywall over uneven 2x4s you may need to sister in new 2x4s to get a surface that will accept drywall.

  11. It took a LOT of work refinishing our floors ourselves but we saved an unbelievable amount of money vs. paying someone to do it. I definitely underestimated how much work it took though

  12. Abort that place. Can’t imagine how much that place cost. Way more bang for your buck to move from that wacko area
