Learn how to check the temperature at which your coolant will freeze. This is good to know for the upcoming winter and it will prevent damage to your car if freezing temperatures persist. Coolant, also know as antifreeze prevents the water in your car from freezing and cracking the engine block or breaking hoses. It also prevents the water from boiling over and overheating the engine. Antifreeze has lubricants and additives that prevent rust so it should always be used in your vehicle. The amount of coolant you need varies on make, model, and where in the world you live. In warmer climates you dont need as much antifreeze because it doesnt get cold. Since water cools better than antifreeze, it is important that you find the right ratio.

  1. Ayo coolent check🦶🏽🦶🏽🦶🏽

  2. I'm not sure if my 06 Sentra has any antifreeze and it just dipped below freezing maybe mid 20s .. since last night . Going to check if it has any color and how concentrated ..ANy ideas ? I don't want to start it because it might crack it ..

  3. Both Durex and Mopar antifreeze coolant brands say for 50/50 mix temperature ranges are -34° f to 265°f.

  4. Hey Chris I've located the ect sensor #2 on my mazda 3, but can't figure out how to get to it to change it out.. Any help would be apprecaited!!!

  5. I run 25/75 here in California. Yesterday was 115° ac full blast and my temp was 195° lol.

  6. With fast fluctuating cold weather this year I had to much water in mine (it was near colorless to light pink in the reservoir.) I was gonna use a turkey baster to extract the water and add in a better mix but didn't think of where to dispose of it.
I took my car in today and I seen there is a bit more to this then topping it off (after having added some water in warmer weather.) They use a pump to push the fluids thru everything and that water is in much of the system, in larger quantities then I presumed, having bought two bottles of European antifreeze for them to refill after being flushed out.

I see now why winterizing a vehicle is important and hopefully avoided more expensive repairs due to other negligence, its just hard for many to budget even the basics sometimes.

I would like to know why in Wi where winters are brutal, why we are told to use 50/50 opposed to a higher ratio or pure antifreeze?

  7. Great video

Just One update your radiator will not boil over at 212 degrees they are pressurized so it can get much hotter

  8. I want Higher Boiling Point, because in my country there is no winter, just summer and it's so Hot, what composition for higher boiling point? 30 Coolant and 70 Distilled Water?
