15. I wish KitKat gave an option to limit charge level to some safe point below 100%. It doesn't, so I just leave it plugged in until it alerts me that it's fully charged.

21. Battery's are cheap anyway ,but not when your device becomes the failure through excessive power consumption . I have had phone's fail as they needed stupid amounts of power to continue to work .. This was evident by the heat the phone made in day to day use and while charging .Even after a factory reset and new battery . Other devices i have saved by deleting a one colporate benchmark app .. I still haven't found the cure to google services demands battery use .

One thing I find that helps is if possible, try out the charger in the store. Try plugging it into your device. Ideally, the connection should be snug, and the plug should be flush with the device.
