Samsung will be launching an app this spring which will notify you when a load of laundry is done. Of course you need the smart Samsung washer or dryer, but the smartphone app will be manufacturer-agnostic.

@pennjersey83 wat the f***?
I'll put her on spin cycle.
By the way, i imagine playing Angry Birds in the washer control panel xD
"That's about as useful as a cock-flavoured lollipop"
awesome
Me and Amy on top of the washer with an unbalanced load:-P
@nekotengu lol exactly.
@Nikotengu lol exactly.
I just don't see the point If I have to put my cloths in my dryer by hand anyway.
You're missing the point! You see, your robot picks up the laundry, then without pushing any buttons interfaces with washer and dryer via the app, then folds and puts it away when it's done. that's the real reason for the app… right? Now where's my robot!
her nails are awful.. just cant concentrate on anything else @_@
This is bullshit until they can get their app to put the clothes in 🙂
I don't want washing app, I want to take a look at Emy, not the app. 🙂
@igeekone I guess the one useful bit is getting a message when the load is done.
I don't know of a practical use of this when you still have to physically put the laundry into the washer then into the dryer. Plus, as lanedek stated, why would you pause or change the cycle midway? This is just is a cool gimmick.
I need one connected to my microwave and fridge 😀
After putting your washed clothes in the dryer and turning it on, why would you need to adjust the settings again?
@GadgetUniversity im Its probably more like 2000 per unit because its samsung
@imZenko that washer is easily 13-1500. dryer would be about the same.
