YOU SUCK AT EXPLAINING ANYTHING YOU JUST DID!!!!!!
Just like stuartpollock said, bootloader has to be unlock, if it's locked and you decide unlock it, you'll wipe out all of your data in your phone. So this videos wont help you if you're trying to back up on a phone that you've never done anything to it.
It says waiting for device, Help?
Does anyone know how to flash stock Nexus software onto the nexus? I bought a phone everything worked except the phone calls and messaging. I think the d bag who sold me it tried to root the phone and screwed it up. THe crappy part is that the verizon store said it was working only then did i pay the guy to find out it didnt.
how would you do this via mac?
You forgot to mention that your bootloader has been unlocked before you did any of this and if people are going to unlock the bootloader it will completely wipe the phone.
This is how I used to flash ROMs on my HTC Magic. It's a bit more effort.
….Seems like much more effort than just rooting.
Nice tutorial… it gives us more then one way. No need for root.
why though? As others have said, you unlocked it anyway with wipes all data, so why not root it too and make it a lot easier.
Lol at first I read the title and thought it said how Phil brings sexy back to the nexus lololololololol
You're not rooted, but you unlocked your boot loader (which COMPLETELY wipes the Nexus), so you might as well just have rooted.
Very usefull, I didn't know this was possible. So That means I can root, and still keep my stock recovery?

This video was pointless as a tutorial and I know its not labeled as one but I'm sure people were expecting something a little clearer for none root users . Wast
