  1. Motorola showed us that communication can be mobile, then Blackberry invented text (or what is called two way fax at the time) and also created the first ever phone to use qwerty keyboard. Then IBM showed us how to interact with our phone not just though physical buttons. Nokia made the first GSM phone, showing us that phones don't need to be just locked onto one carrier. Nokia brought it further again through phones with games, Internet access and even a camera, which totally shaped future phone. Then Blackberry rocked the world with an app that can send messages through Internet connection (which is what WhatsApp rip offer later on). Though Touchscreen phones existed, Apple truly introduced touchscreen onto phones. All this companies have done a great part in phone development, especially Blackberry and Nokia, but now, we just gets small gimmicks here and there, hardly any true innovation. To create something revolutionary, we need to think out of the box, not like some cliché ass fingerprint scanner shit.

  2. While technology is great I'm not too fond of having to go to my wall to do simple tasks, pass through some convoluted TouchWiz interface just to lock my door then find out that someone hacked my wallOS or something and having to pay hundreds of dollars to fix it.

  3. I keep hearing people say buy your phone up front but I don't see any plan on Verizon that is cheaper or discounted if you bring your own phone.

  4. I think we might see some big changes in the next 10 years. We are developing so fast and just take a look back what technology we have 10 years ago. 10 years ago I would think it's insane to have more than 500mb of RAM on a phone but now we have phones up to 4gb of RAM. So yea, the future is bright for the technology industry and for us consumers as well.

  5. I also had the same thought that in the future we'll be using a completely different device to interact something that's not a slab of metal and glass it's like technology disappears but you're using it seamlessly connected to everything

  6. You don't always save money purchasing a phone off contract. For example, I got a LG G3 for $1 on contract. If I purchased the phone it would have cost about $500, but Verizon would have only reduced the data charge by $15/mo. so that only saves me $360 over 2 years. Bottom line is do the math before deciding on or off contract.

  7. I think Microsoft hololense is the first glimpse of the next big thing (although its obviously not perfect yet).

  8. On domain .com would anyone suggest buying the extra security feature? Is it possible to not have your name showing on a domain without having to pay the extra dollars, or is it not even worth it for the hassle?

  9. In India buying a smartphone has became cheaper from 2014 after the Chinese oms started taking interest in India
Today in India you can get a snapdragon 410 with 2gigs of ram 720p display 2300mA battery and with cyanogenmod for just
    110USD

  10. Your idea of expanding android over everywhere even on the walls of your home is quite good but it also threatens us from hacking

  11. He jayce ,
I live in Suriname and here almost no one has a contract phone . Because all phones are unlocked and are sold here in specialized cell shops and everyone uses prepaid simcards. Most cell shop have the latest phone within 2 to 4 week of the phone launching. Here brands like iPhone ,Samsung and BLU are the biggest sellers.

  12. not everyone needs or wants a smartphone and why should they, also we change phones way too quick and buy a new one each year cant we just slow down, cos i feel like once i got the phone i want another comes out i want or is better and i could be on a 2 year contract urgh

  13. It's great to hear such a unbiased talk about Mobile phones and always caring about us consumers 😊.
Never miss your shows. Keep up the good work.

  14. I'm ready for some augmented reality glasses that have an understanding of our environment and can tell us information about the environment based on what we are doing. That would be cool.

  15. Before we innovate to have info flying around all over the place and lose touch with reality (being "too" plugged in), it's imperative we develop great security measures and systems. People are getting hacked left and right. Soon privacy will be a myth if we continue at this rate
