Officer Kim Potter, with 26 years on the force, says it was in “the best interest of the community†for her to resign immediately. Prosecutors say they’re likely to decide whether to file criminal charges as soon as tomorrow. The announcement comes after a second night of confrontation between protesters and police outside their headquarters.

Dante wright was a little George Floyd in the making.

FAKE NEWS, just admit what's going on. White supremacists have been infaltrating law enforcement for years. What we're witnessing are modern day hangings and lynchings. They're killing the blacks (the most serious threat to genetic anialition of whites) off slowly, one by one.
People will always resist thats why police have handcuffs….so stop saying dont resist……
That type of force was not necessary. And a opps….is not enough
, they the cops are trying to cover it up
If You choose to be a crimnal do not resist arrest . .
The officer did her JOB enough said! The kid was trying to flee. I am a Dem saying yes a DEM!
It was in the best interest of the community that you knew the difference between a taser and a gun, with 26 yrs on the force you shouldve known that.
Really simple do as you are told by the law and/or law enforcement and don't get arrested/shot.
Here's my question, why would he drove off ? Let's say if he wasn't short and tased instead. He would have drove off ! We need to stop acting this way man . There are legit racist cops out there who wouldn't hesitate killing innocent people based on skin color . But in this instance, he wasn't innocent. He didn't seem innocent. He tried to drive off. Don't look at it from race point of view. That officer is innocent.
😢😢😢sigh….sad
If he had a warrent they have to arrest him. Whats wrong with blacks in america? Do they somehow believe they they are above the law because of their skincolor?
This so sad.
so what's the point bedside's he shouldn't have resisted maybe that wouldn't have happened to him
And mama of the child I pray you seek first Gods righteousness
Sorry mama love you
People make mistakes. This was a ginormous one – Ms. Potter has stepped up for this failure and has resigned. This is not going to change the facts, but it is noteworthy because it was the honorable thing to do and former Officer Potter did it. Holy cow – America – do you remember the concept of honor? Accountability? Responsibility? These used to be foundational concepts. Now these basic concepts are newsworthy? Yes, because they are so rarely followed in American life today, sadly.
Well ðŸ¤â€Â💡every black officer should use the same incident excuseðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»let us see how you’ll react jokers👎ðŸÂ¼ and I wish they act-up pretty sooner than later before they’ll bury everybody they loveðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ» then we’ll all seek justice together afterwords ðŸ¤ÂÂ🤙ðŸÂ» I think that’s greatest idea 💡 for nowðŸ¤â€Â💪ðŸÂ»💪ðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»👌🤙ðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»👌👌👌ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»
That little resignation trick didn't work.
So let me get this straight, an officer with 26 years experience mistook her gun for a taser🙄,yeah ok!! I’m so over this justice system 🤦ðŸÂ½â€ÂÂ♀ï¸ÂÂ!! Another young black man had to lose his life over a traffic stop!! When will this ever change 🥺!! I’ll tell you when, when they start holding this cops accountable for the bs they do!! I bet we’d stop hvn as many deaths as we do if only they would hold these gang members with badges accountable & prosecute them to thee fullest extent of the law!! I bet they’d think before they shoot then!!! RIPOWER to the young man who lost his life, as well as his family, you all are definitely in my thoughts and prayers ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¼ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¼🥺!!!
Hey kids, dont resist arrest, it causes police to panic.
Fight fight fight for your rights
Dude is being cuffed, rips out after having one on a wrist, thats a pretty crazy weapon and then gets in a 3000 lbs weapon and the lady accidently shot him? Im confused as to where the outrage is here. If i did what he did i would have ran the risk of this accident happening. Anyone that thinks this lady purposefully shot this man with anything more than what she thought was a tazer isnt being objective.
I mean no one is looking at the real problem here . He was trying to flee from officers.
If he complied he would be alive. Simple , it has nothing to do with black lives matters.
Law enforcement now have minimal expectations of officers. Many are out of shape, ammo is rationed this is what you end up with.
Why did the chief resign
No no no Mr. Reporter man. She didnt resign bc it is in the best interest of the public & you know this. She resigned to keep her pension, period! The mayor does NOT have to accept her resignation & he knows this.
I wonder if the hard working ppl of MN are sick & tired of their tax $$ paying for the actions of corrupt cops' while those criminal cops get to keep their pensions, and their assets.
POLICE AND GUN OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY BULLET THAT LEAVES THE MUZZLE…….NO EXCUSES….WANTED CRIMINAL OR NOT WAS HER LIFE IN DANGER IN THAT MOMENT….?????????
At the unrest, when the cop group up together to come forward. Start shooting into their growd. Hit as many as possible. Let them see how the hurt and pain feels of a lost love one. Then tell them you made a mistake. You mistaken your gun for your cell phone.
Even a kid can differentiate between a taser and a firearm, their weight and grip is very different from one another
Incompetent individuals shall answer for their crimes
Everytime this happened the whole world brings up the past
EXPIRED TAG…….=…..COFFIN
ST. DAUNTE IS ON SOCIAL MEDIA WITH ILLEGAL GUNS, DRUGS, MONEY, BOOZE… AT 20 YEARS OLD. THERE'S VIDEO AND PICTURES ONLINE. I UPLOADED THE VIDEO TO MY YOUTUBE PAGE.
Russia and China is laughing at USA… And realize they are wasting money on defense to destroy USA. Destruction of USA is not from outside treats but inside. Police officers of USA playing a major role to destroy the country…. Honestly I'm feeling sad for poor Americans….
Dear Black Folk: If you respect the police and do as they ask, then you might not get shot. DON'T RUN. ………….And don't turn around and blame the police for shooting a black GUILTY person. Everyone can see right through your twisting of the FACTS.
Daunte Wright was in the wrong for attempting to escape the police by resisting arrest. However, the point is the way the police officers handled the situation. Mr. Wright consequences to resisting arrest ended in an "accidental" shot fired, which lead to his death. Now, the officer who "accidentally" used a gun instead of a taser, as a consequence of her irresponsible action, needs to be held responsible for her careless action. Both of their conduct was gross. The police officer made a huge mistake, and needs to be held responsible for her actions. I think that with this situation of civilian Vs. police officer, each individual should be held properly accountable for their behavior. Instead of officers being dismissed for gross conduct & lack of due diligence, there has to be police reform and safe things civilians can do when face to face with police officers. While the officer is alive, Mr. Wright is decreased. It is sad he leaves loved ones behind to grieve over his sudden passing, which could have been avoided. If only the police officers where able to anticipate his next moves, by closing his car door and firmly restraining him , and or pulling him out of the car maybe he would be alive today. Or if the officer actually responded accurately by handling her taser instead of a gun then the narrative would be different. However, in the hands of the police there is another black man (who attempted to run and remain free) was killed for running away. Just all around disturbing. My heart aches for this broken world in search of peace in the streets and hope for better interactions with police and civilians. There is really no way to tell if a person is going to be a threat to the police officers and if a police officer is going to be a threat to a person. However, the problem is when more average, ordinary, everyday people with some "minor scale" troubles with the law are dying in the hands of police officers. It is all disturbing.
This officer's pension should go towards the family's settlement. If they keep this up that state's police dept want have any money to buy donuts or coffee!
You want the police to stand down .Thats not gonna happen
At least she was sorry for what happened! Ppl need to learn how to calm down and it doesn't matter the race.
The police been trigger happy when it comes to black people
Ashli Babbitt was shot dead January 6th in the capital building and the conversation was over with "she got what was coming to her for breaking the law, her actions had consequences"
…Spare me the diddndonuffins, just embrace the hypocrisy and say what you're really thinking.
This is bull sh** she been a police for 26 years she knows what In were her taser is stop trying to cover up what she did I’m so sick of this bullsh** it don’t matter if he did run or not you don’t shoot nobody she needs first degree murder charges every time a cop kills somebody they always get a lesser charge smh
