Best Penetrating Oil. Learn how to make your own homemade penetrating fluid that works better than WD40, Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, Kroil, and most other penetrating fluids on the market. Not only does it work better, it is way cheaper to make and very easy to make. You just need Automatic Transmission Fluid and Acetone and mix them together in a 50/50 ratio.

No tranny oil so used vegetable oil instead, works good, Thx for the video!
Wow scary strong (science)
only im here from Exhaust Driftstang video?
Seems like yo could just make a little bit at a time. Because I wonder how the o-rings and seals in you squirt can deal with the acetone. Most acetone I've ever seen come in plastic bottles, i.e. fingernail polish, so you could probably find a bottle made of the same plastic with a squirt nozzle to use too.
Brake Fluid+Transmission oil?
25% elbow grease 25% water 50% blinker fluid
Can I use this on the undercarriage of an older car that might already have rust? What will it do for that car?
This wad so good I forgot about using WD40. Bottom line, it home made and works like a champ! Do it!
Ed’s Red Formula
Thank you, thank you, thank you Chris! Had a stuck spark plug that wouldn’t budge and was afraid of stripping threads on an aluminum head. Put this mixture on and let soak overnight and in the morning BAM, loosened right up!!
my dad swore by eucalyptus oil as a great penetrant… swore every time it didn't help lol
Fantastic video mate thanks from London England ðŸ‘ÂÂ
I think you should revisit this video. The numbers at 4:32 from the research are actually in pounds not in foot/pounds. YouTuber AvE called you out kinda in his video called "Penetrating Oil HYPE! | Kroil, Seafoam, Liquid Wrench"
idk how you but i really want to drink the atf it looks so good
WD40 is not penetrating fluid lol its what wannabe mechanics use. It actually dries up the part.
WD= water displacement
Hello Chris, are you still using this as a penetrating fluid ? if not, what product do you recommend ? Thank you !
45% blinker fluid, 55% piston return spring oil ^_^
I’m going to make this. I never thought about making my own and if it works better than other penetrating fluid and is cheaper why not?
Does the acetone and transmission fluid mixture eat away the rubber seal in the oiler?
bahahaha, 500ftlb???, I don't think so pal… credibility gone…
SUPERB!"
great video…Just made up a 50/50 ATF – acetone mix but to go in special plastic dropper bottles I picked up…I'm also lookin at doin a brake fluid/acetone mix also in a 50/50 mix as a test….
Hmm I’ll try to give that a try
Brake fluid. Especially at the junk yard. Dip a screwdriver in the master cylinder. Drip fluid on stuck part. May have to repeat several times. I'm not say brake fluid is better. But, it may help.
I was experimenting and 3 quarters the way full of farm/off road diesel and 1 quarter full with used motor oil works really good.
Was struggling with a rusted egr bolt for 1 week and came across that..
It's like that bolt was never tightened. Thanks a lot!!!!!
If you have already filled the oil can "half way" with the ATF liquid, why would you pour Acetone into the plastic cup and risk melting it? Just pour it directly into the oil can.
Can I use this on spark plugs
THX Man you are the best
Since subscribing your channel, I found wonderful videos including this one.
As always, awesome video. Thanks
Great video. Been doing this for years, works great. I repair office machinery (copiers, scanners, etc) Copier fusers (heaters) run 350 degrees while copying so the bearings often freeze to the shaft if the previous tech didn't place high temp grease on the shaft prior. Of couse we couldn't use this mixture, but we often use a 50/50 of regent isopropyl and light machine oil. I've used this mixture on some pretty rusted nuts in automotive also. Didn't work as well as the atf/acetone on brake rotor, but it does work well on smaller nuts and doesn't eat plastic. Overall, you can put it in a precision oiler and just dab it on where you need it. Even if you really don't "need" to use it, the job will go faster with less stress on the hardware during the disassemble/reassemble process. Use it constantly.
Thanks.ðŸ‘ÂÂ🇬🇧
Thx chrisfix for the help 🙂
Edit: I already subbed before the pandemic
really good till you get it on paint
4:10 Chris, the original results were in lbs, not ft/lbs.
