How to test fuel injectors for pulsing. Learn how to check fuel injectors. I use a screwdriver to test fuel injectors to make sure they are firing. You place a long screwdriver to the base of each injector and put your ear to the end of the screwdriver (like a doctors stethoscope). You should hear constant clicking. If not, then your injector isn’t firing or is firing intermittently.
Symptoms of bad injectors are a check engine light with codes P0300 through P0308, misfiring, hesitation, poor fuel economy, stalling, and a poor idle.

Hi how can I diagnose injector loud noise
This is the way all videos should be…Not like these idiots that think they have their own TV show.
Great jobðŸ‘ÂÂ
Rad
That was great you are the only Tex’s ever said that thanks so much you the man ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ»
You literally just saved me from just going and buying a new car. All over p0301 and injector 1 not ticking. Thank you from me and my bank account!
Hi I wanted to know the solution to error code P2150 low voltage to supply B
So I have a 97 Ford 150, and one day all of sudden, I believe to be the cause of water because of a bad rainstorm, it just started losing all power while I was driving it. It sounded a lot louder, the engine was idling rough and it would backfire and misfire. So I immediately was thinking coil packs and spark plugs. I replaced them all and it still is acting the same way. Sometimes it will stay cranked up and sound fine then the next it shakes and sounds rough. I checked my injectors just like this and it sounded fine. I’m so confused on what is causing it to be this way. I am hearing a weird noise coming from the engine bay that I haven’t heard before but can’t figure out what. I also replaced the fuel filter and used Lucas gas treatment for the gas and oil but it still doing the same thing.
I domt get any codes. Can it still be an injector or a spark plug coil?
What if it is stuck open? Would you not hear clicking? I will still try this trick today when I get home. See if I notice any difference in noise.
Could you use this method when trying to diagnose a leaky injector ?
Hell yeah , Chris fix for the win again
ChrisFix: “…using a screwdriver.â€ÂÂ
Me: Heck yeah a tool I have already!
my ford ranger, it smells like gasoline when I turn it on, also, when I accelerate, it sounds like it loses power.
In an autozone, they tell me you have a fuel overflow.
any advice on that?
Its a 2007 Ranger XL – L4 – 2.3L 140ci GAS MFI vin D – 4 valve DOHC
he sounds sad
I see a a lot of videos on the code p0304. Most of the videos show the mechanic replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs. I have the same code, misfire 4 cylinder. However, I replaced those about 6 months ago. Just to be sure- did a ignition coil and spark plug swap, after that kicked up the same code and problem while driving. Could the problem be the injector?
amazing
This is a great trick i learned a few vehicles back, Harbor Freight sells a cheap ass tool i bought that looks like a doctors stethoscope to do the exact same thing, didn't really need it but great to have if i ever do.
Thanks chris
Love it man. This beats the hell of removing all injectors to find blockages
I used an actual mechanic stethoscope and with the injector unplugged, I can still hear the ticking. Which means I'm hearing the other injectors through the rail.
Thank You! ! ! 🙂
Thank you!! Was going to call my mechanic tonight but I’ll give this a try first!
Brilliant my boy,brilliant
Nice and quick not a whole life story lolðŸ‘ÂÂ
