What’s it like going to a dentist in prison?

1. Hope everyone has had an awesome day… Wait till you see tomorrows video about today… Went to the dentist and omg… just wait till you hear about this. Now I've got to get ready to go meet with this lawyer for Dave in about an hour… Wish me luck as I can hardly talk… Hope this guy is reasonable.

2. I got Most of my teeth pulled after suffering a mental beakdown, they took teeth (up to 6 at a time) Every week, so the turn over for recovery is about 7 days, Lots of codeine and some cuddles and everyone will be fine XD

4. I got maced in county jail. 20 COs came in the dorm and emptied a huge can on me and I still didnt stop choking the dude out. Then I was in the why me pens for 45 minutes cuffed, before going to medical to get rinsed. The the shower, oh boy. That mace got in my Male organ, burnt like hell

   I have a serious case of acid reflu where it's so saviour it ate away at my teeth while I slept. -(stomach acid comes up while we sleep. One of the reasons we brush before & after bed)
   No matter how much care I gave them stopped it.
   So, instead of waiting for the rotting started, we just pulled them.
   All I'm saying…..I know your pain.

9. I feel like when dentist just look in your mouth and put it off… they just being lazy and wanting you to get a different dentist to pull it out.

10. Once one of my teeth gets decay on it, there’s no saving it. It doesn’t matter what they do root canals or whatever.

11. Also I think having a tooth that’s bothering you and medical not doing anything about it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment

13. So true. Been their, done that. Society THINKS inmates go to jail/prison and get free medical and dental😖 If they ONLY knew the BS inmates have to go through. I’ve had to “BUCK” to get the services I needed. Got sent to the SHU and everything😩

15. Not including teeth and eyes as potential medical issues or like they cant effect someones health/kill them is insanity. I lost a friend due to an abscessed tooth (they had no insurance) land this terrible concept/system will forever make me rage

17. On thing about Massachusetts jails , it's actually great healthcare. I've seen dudes get their whole mouth fixed in jail. If you get sentenced you might as well use the system for everything they have. Boston / mass healthcare is the best even jails.

19. That is totally inhumane to treat people like that! If someone needs medical attention they should be able to get that medical attention within at least 24 hours. I mean, if someone's in that much pain from a tooth and there is that much swelling it could be abscessed and people can die from an abscessed tooth. I've had 6 abscessed teeth at once and eventually had to have surgery to remove all my teeth because of the 6 abscess teeth causing infection to spread through my mouth. But seriously no one should have to wait almost a damn year to get medical attention for anything and no one deserves to die because of being in prison and having a medical problem that the prison is not taking seriously.

I got ptsd from the pen dentist because I went just like this after 7 months to be told that it's to infected to have any sort of needle to freeze that area and they didn't have n2o either so he just went ahead and tried to pull this Moller and it snapped into pieces. I am pretty sure that this was the worst pain I have ever experienced!!! I am almost positive that if I had nothing to lose like lots of other people that were there I would have made sure that he felt that same pain. Bible said eye for an eye tooth for a tooth and since in god we trust I should not have even been charged right . lol this would not make a good defense in court. Lmfao
