  1. Erik. If I may. These videos seem to be quite common recently. But both audio and video are not optimal. If you need help improving the quality of live casts and local recordings I'd be happy to help free of charge. / IT Guy

  2. For all you people posting questions for Eric to answer, please WATCH THE VIDEO at 32:01 and read the video description.  He's not answering questions from the Youtube comments.

  3. For The question at 4:30 I had the same issue, turns out it was a vacuum hose. Made it sound like the spark plugs where broken, spitting and backfiring. Stalled if you didn't hold the gas, but ran fine above 2000 rpm.

  4. 2003 dodge caravan 3.3 engine
Every once and a  while when start (cold or hot) engine will just crank (fast)
if I cycle the from off and back to starts normally

  5. 😛 One of my cars has a Yaris 1KR-FE engine.
    They're literally $600 new.
Never heard of that particular issue in them though.

  6. sometimes my check engine appear and then disapear a few day after, i scan it and it say that one of the cylinder is to lean, what i need to check now ? having in mind that the check engine will disappear the next 1 -2day

  7. I have a 2009 cube and the catayltic converter code come up but has gone off for about a month now. What should i do i have smog in september should i just wait and see if it passes or should i replace it.

  8. for the fellas…can you explain short term and long term fuel trim and what can affect it…THANKS ERIC THE CAR GUY

  9. Unplugging injectors has never caused me a problem, but always bothered me a bit. If you got one mid-squirt, it could go super lean and detonate, I'd think. If you cut spark, especially at idle, it should be fine.

And that noise and roughness that disappears at higher rpm sounds like it could be a bad injector – stuck open, closed, or with a leaky o-ring. It can really make a 4cyl slam around, but disappear at speed.
