In this video I tested Techron Concentrate Plus by Chevron. I use a mini borescope camera to look into the engine and see how dirty the engine is before the fuel treatment and then after the fuel treatment.
I followed the instructions on the container and Techron performed similarly to gumout. This is the third test in a series of fuel cleaner test I will be performing to see how fuel cleaners work and if they actually work.
Here is the fuel cleaner I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00092893E/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00092893E&linkCode=as2&tag=chri0e2-20&linkId=JHJTJRLDKEROW2YJ

What kind of gas and octane did you use?
Man, what a drag. I always use Techron, and it doesn't do anything, at least in the combustion chambers.
Thanks for the effort put into making these videos.
So, did any one cleaner actually work?
I run this shit regular through and it seems to work with my fuel injectors. It takes a jackhammer to take the carbon off the cylinder heads anyways…that goes with any natural buildup… I'm happy with techron…
Who cares if there is a little carbon buildup. That little bit won’t matter.
Probably better to get a close up of the valves. That is where a lot of buildup occurs. Checking the pistons may not reveal all that much, because one would expect buildup to be there.
Basically useless
All those expensive additives are worthless gimmicks.
Definitely for just the fuel system..
Sea foam the cylinder heads by removing spark plugs and pouring some sea foam in there..
Avoid hydro locking by removing as much fluid as you can when done cleaning
Now 10 gallons for 40$ April 20 2021
Yes
This video is hogwash! I’ve been using Techron for decades. I have a truck with 125k on it. The Check engine light appeared. I got a code one the O2 sensors is no good. I added Techron to the tank and code is now gone. Also I can feel a huge difference with engine performance.
i miss spark plug wires they were so much easier to change then the coil packs used now a days plus your trucks plugs look so easy to get to
Hey chris i got 01 Mazda B3000 n theft light just started coming on n shut/kills my truck when im driving it but itll start back up. U should do a video on theft or PATS code.
Thanks!
I put techron in my gt mustang added 11 gallons of gas and my service engine light came on before burning a gallon of fuel (within 20 miles) never again
Crossed off my shopping list.
How often can you run it through your tank because if you could do 3 tanks in a row then you could see significant results
It's always snake oil.
I have a lot of oil sludge in my oil pan and I would assume my engine as well. what would you suggest that I could add to my oil to break up the sludge so I can drain it out of my oil pan?
How many of these would you have to use to match and engine rebuild, is it cheaper to have a major mechanical clean done by a professional involving the like of cyclometer heads off etc vs putting a additive in every other fill up 🤷ðŸÂ»â€ÂÂ♂ï¸ÂÂ
I have been using this on my motorcycle for years. Before it goes into storage for the winter. I fill the tank after and she is perfect till next spring. Never any issues starting her.
I thought it was a fuel system cleaner, not a cylinder cleaner??
More research needed.
False advertisement!
You (and your editing team?) are an EXCELLENT Video-tographer, with a great and easy to understand speaking voice. I'd hope you would consider making a career as a speaker.
I no nothing about car maintenance, but to support your efforts to independently test products, I gave you a THUMBS-UP and SUBSCRIBED.
After years of watching YouTube informational videos, yours was ABSOLUTELY * THE * BEST I've ever seen.
A key tip for you guys never let your tank go below 1/4 tank because you allow dirt to clog your fuel pump and filter, gas in iran is 40 cents a gallon.✌ï¸ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ
