Never went to prison/jail, but I've been to rehab once and a psych ward once. You go fucking crazy without a watch, especially when you dont know what time it is. A watch is the first thing I asked for when I was inside. My little brother had to go in to the psych hospital a few times. When I was visiting him one of the times, I was wearing my cheapo watch my bf gave me when I was in psych. I was wearing it for good luck and as a reminder to take care of my mental health so I dont have to go back. So I passed it onto him so that he'd have the good luck instead. They take everything away from you and there's no clocks in the rooms for some reason and it's devastating, so small mercies
