  1. My car vibrates a lot at idle. Gets worse when I turn the wheel or turn on AC. My local mechanic says 3 out of the 4 mounts are broken. Fixing them should solve this issue?

  2. Your videos are amazing as usual. I would suggest to clean the threads of nuts and bolts before you put the blue locktite. Thanks

  3. ★★★★★★★★★

  4. 2 of 3 mounts in my car are easy to do. # 3 is a real bear. Tech couldn't do it either. Had to call shop owner who was really slick in assembling swivels, extensions and an adapter to access the mount bracket. Made it look simple.

  5. I had a shop change all of my mounts, plus spark plugs, and 2 gaskets. Just for my car to still rough idle, shift a little hard, and after they got done, sound like shit.

  6. The best way to get them off, in my opinion is with a 1/2" impact wrench. The breaker bar is generally a pain in the ass…..especially when working underneath the car or truck.

  7. The problem I'm encountering with motor mounts…is consistency in quality….or simply having to wade through the cheap crap…to try to find a decent motor mount. Bought some Anchor motor mounts recently…and they are honestly complete garbage. Because they're so cheap, they're not even worth returning. They simply go in the garbage bin. I'm not the first one to have to do that with Anchor crap. I'm struggling to find anything decent for a 1992 Ford F250…without having to go pay exorbitant amounts of money at a Ford dealership.

  8. Love your videos!! With your videos, I have saved a ton of money. I wish you had done the transmission mount on your B3000. When I try to find info online, it only gives details on the Ford Ranger. I am guessing the procedure is pretty much the same. But it really goes along way when your videos are specific to your Mazda

  9. Chris, where did you get your torque specs? I just did the mounts on my daughters 2001 Windstar and I have the Ford shop manual and it list 69ft lbs for the top nut, and 56ft lb for the bottom nut. This is for the 3.8 engine. Did it just as you showed, new mount was a little taller than the old, but finally got it turned just right and it slipped right in. Thanks for the help!

  10. hey guys, quick question here! i have a 1999 Lexus es300 1mz VVT with 180,xxx miles. i know the motor mounts are bad and need replacing because the motor moves when shifting into gears. my question and biggest concern is, could bad motor mounts cause a hard shift into 2nd gear from 1st gear? everytime I stop at a red light or stop sign or anything, after moving off again it will over rev and shift hard into 2nd gear. every other gear shift is normal. downshifts are normal. only does it from 1st to 2nd gear shifts. it is motor/trans mounts or do i need to get the trans serviced?

  11. Sounds like my scenario. The workshop manual for my car stated 74 Lb ft for engine mount bolt. Sheared right off. Subsequently found another place in the manual it said 46 lb ft. That manual mistake cost me a lot of time and money.

  12. I just watched a video about a guy who his car fell on him and almost kill him
before that i understud why jackstands are important but now its totaly new level

  13. Chris, all that oil on your oil pan is an indication you might have a transmission rear main seal leak.

  14. Excellent Video. NEWBIE QUESTION: When you jack up the engine, don't you have to worry about putting strain on the transmission, exhaust, and all the other things the engine is connected to?

  15. Chris, you put a Link on inexpensive mounts. Do you recommend cheap aftermarket mounts or oem? I feel like when parts are inexpensive the quality is not good and they dont last as long.

  16. yooo chris fix! hey if i ordered motor mount and it has a vacuum nipple on the bottom….can i just cap that off if my oem part doesnt have one? will it work the same as a non- vacuum mount?

  17. I rarely post positive comments but I loved your style of video….you didn't gab endlessly about irrelevant nonsense…you got to the point and were descriptive. Loved your video! Thanks!
