ChrisFix how about a video on how to replace a brake line and using the double flaring tool? In Chicago things get rusty pretty quick.
I have changed pads before but when I have drum brakes and you had to bleed them. Do you not do that when replacing pads. Great video!!
Is the step at 2:20 really necessary since you're taking the caliper off to get the rotor off. Can't you just take the pads out then?
I started to follow you because you not only give clear instructions but you provide the items I need to get the job done. Thank you so much for this.
Honda's have those nasty rotor screws – except this one. That will stop you cold.
Yeah I think mine are good .but will soon enough . But pads looks more thicker towards the outer part .. Though I've never done one with ABS . Any different ? 2016 Ford Focus SE
So easy. The hard part is having the tools
Hello, I bought copper anti seize from watching your other video on brakes for the mustang but I see you are using another anti seize in this video. Can anyone help on which anti seize to use or if both copper and non copper is good? Thanks
Good video cheers mate
Can I get a list of all the tools used
Help Chris. Help Help
Chris l cant get the breaks bleed .worked all day on them .still at the next day. New breaks roters and calibers
Dear all mechanics, please stop touching brake pads and brake rotors with dirty hands or dirty gloves. Every time I get my brakes done, i then have to do it myself to get rid of the awful and embarrassing brake squeal. Chris thank you for the great content as always.
You should hook me up with a set like that, so I can Chris fix it
Thaaanks! Really helpful
Chris I have one question :
Why do you like hiding your face in all of your videos always?
How do You know how bug of a jack to use
I don't know why I love cars. May be I love driving. 😀
You have to pump the breaks before using the car
The content is so great which let me realize I can actually do it myself !!!
Just subbed great work
Easy jobðŸ‘ÂÂ
Hey Chris, my mom's 2007 highlander v6 has needed a new timing belt for 4 years but she can't afford to pay $1300 to get it replaced. I don't much experience working on cars, but would it be okay if I did it myself?
You can use a crowfoot on the torque wrench
Will this process be the same in a yukon and ram?

Hi Chris! I am not a mechanic but learn a lot from your videos. Question: once the brake pad need to change, is it also necessary to change brake rotor?
I’m a new mechanic.. just don’t know how to price my work. I was thinking of charging 70$ only for break pad ??

Thanks man. Not too wordy, you give demonstrations and you explain relevant information. You make this work not seem hard at all.
Thank you for the thorough, visual, and helpful video. I'm. Learning a lot and I know this will help me.
Hey chrisfixit Is it necessary to replace the brake pads clips?💕 From a Future service technician🖖ðŸ™ÂÂðŸ‘Ëâ€
هذا شرؠجداً رائع وأتمنى أنتوÙÂÂر الترجمة باللغة العربية….
Have a guy who charges me $50 for doing brake service not including the parts, so it’s worth it to me to not get my hands dirty lol great tutorial
This guy is the king of tutorials, awesome angles, video quality, and explanations.
Helo friend…i am Brasilian…thanks for your viedo… show!!
Hey Chris this may sound like a dumb question but are all rotors different sizes? I’m 14 so I don’t know much about anything
I didnt need any of these but i have done them anyway it looked so fun…
So for parts we need:
Front and Rear Pads and Rotors
Anti-Seize Lubricant
Brake Cleaner
Silicone Paste (not sure what this is, is this the actual name?)
Am I missing anything?
Do you recommend a torque set – (eg 98, 20 torque) as opposed to just tightening manually – what is the danger if tightened too much?
Thanks for this video, really well done and easy to follow, I'll be doing my brakes this summer so I'll be using this as the go-to reference very soon.
Anytips for breaks over heating after changing
Good video as always, but i need to address, that 8:45 "thing that is sticking out" is supposed to go into the hole in wear indicator 9:48. They are basically return springs for the brake pads.
