Apple. iPhone. Android. ANDROID? That’s right, there’s a limit to what you can inscribe on your custom Moto X. It’s safe to inscribe your name, or town, but don’t try to inscribe Android. The Moto Maker won’t let you.

  1. I think this is deeper than people think. Google is trying to phase out Android as a name and looking to move to Just name the operating system as Google

  2. Maybe you can't start off with the name of the OS…
Like, you tried "Not an Iphone.."
It may have worked with "an awesome Android."

    anyone understand what I'm saying?

  3. Here is Motorola logic, you can't put Android or Black Berry or SamSung or Sony or HTC or LG or other brand on the phone signature, but you can put iPhone as a signature and iPhone is Apple product can put a signature on Motorola Android smart phone!!!

  4. I'm sure the reason for the delay in Verizon's moto maker is because Verizon wants to use that spot to say Verizon 4G LTE

  5. Phil should know better. According to brand guidelines… "Android" by itself cannot be used in the name of an application name or accessory product. Instead use "for Android."

  6. Other Words: iPhone, Apple, HTC…Now I wonder if u can have Key Lime Pie or Verizon LTE written on the phone lol
