10. Not hatin or anything but this dude can afford to have diesel engines polled and rebuilt but can’t call a tow truck and have it towed to a shop and repaired? I guess it’s the idea of making content for the video.

12. I'm betting that the engine that was hurt , the bearings are shot. this means the crank will need turning. With 30 years on the motors, both motors will need new pistons(maybe) , new rings (for sure) And new camshafts. Trust me, you did the RIGHT THING buy planning to re-build both engines. CHEERS.

15. Swapping the engines out to gasoline is probably not a good idea, BUT, if it’s a project supported by the engine supplier, in other words at a very small cost , it’s a good idea. Finding a buyer later might prove a problem. He is Not a fool, 95% of subscribers say “ renovate old diesels “.

    It’s a project, far more interesting with an engine swap . Good luck guys.

20. The Coast Guard ran the Cummins VT903s from 1976 to 2006. They ran every day, just need to do the maintenance and keep the fuel clean. Dirty fuel ruins a diesel.
