1. IMHO I noticed the hoses come out the front I thought it would have been better that they came out the side,
   so they wouldn't be in the way when you are rolling around underneath the vehicle.

8. One important caution from a fellow QuickJack user. I am writing this in several places on YouTube so fellow users can avoid a potentially dangerous situation wherein the QJ acts like it is locked, but actually is not. 

   I LOVE my QuickJack BLX-5000, and when properly locked I'm totally happy being underneath it, but beware its "false lock" state.

   I unwittingly discovered a "false lock" state can be created which supports a vehicle, but can unpredictably break free. The usual locking mechanism works well and is very solid and stable. However, if you advance the QJ up just a little further before going back down to engage the locking bar, the cam can also pass over the stop point. When you go down with cam also past the locking point, instead of jamming the locking bar's cup into the locking point, the CAM can jam instead. That "false lock" did support my car's weight, but it is through the cam and its pivot pin instead of the secure lock normally created by the locking bar. The false lock looks OK from a distance, and it supported 4,000 lbs. It's just not at all secure. The cam can unpredictably pivot upward out of of the stop and the cam's pivot hinge is taking all the load. Just one nudge of the car and it could break free.

   Always go up until ONLY the end of the locking bar gets past a stop. Never let the cam also go over a stop point before going down into lock.

   In my opinion the cam should be reshaped so it can NEVER jam against a stop to create a "false lock." This simply should not be possible. When mine broke free, the locking bar luckily caught against the stop as the QJ dropped. Thankfully, I had noticed the lock looked a litle odd. I wasn't under the car and the drop didn't unsettle the lift blocks.

   I have reported this unsafe condition to QuickJack and also filed a report with CPSC.gov (20201128-2FEEE-2147367840) to help ensure proper follow up. The safest solution would be to reshape the cam so it simply can never form a "false lock" and retrofit all existing Quickjacks with new "false lock" proof cams.

14. i don't think its safe! i would want more weight to see how it could take before breaking ? would be better with 4 high bottle jacks and then i would get under a car… does not looksafe at all?

15. FYI – Eric, I think your link to this lift is dead. Checking further, it appears that BendPak bought Ranger and now makes those lifts using the same product IDs (BL-5000, etc). Just an FYI.

21. The loose rubber block just doesn't seem very safe to me. How stable are they from side to side?

25. Ya know…. as fancy as all these lifts look…. Get 2 normal floor jacks, and 4 heavy duty jack stands. I'd feel safer. Unless of course you can afford and accommodate a 4 post lift.

26. Whats been said ref bleeding system, but very good review Eric, as with anything it needs it tweaks after all who wants a 3 ton car landing on top of you. Great Channel by the way.

28. Only negatives to QJ is the insanely heavy weight of each side. I smash my fingers each time I use it. Also they do not lay down that far. My 64 Corvette always scrapes its bottom (dual stock exhaust pipes) on the QJ. 90 deg fittings on cylinders sometimes rotated to where they leaked. You did not show the bleeding of air out of the cylinders. Rather exciting if a bleeder screw comes all the way out. Shot clean across the garage in my case. Hit me in the finger and that hurt. I have the 7000 EXT. I also use hydraulic oil rather than ATF.

29. Hey Eric great video. 2 thing's i would like too ask u, the slices in the blocks, do you maybe think there for the pinch welds to fit in? And i was thinking the locks should probably be loose, so when it's going up they automatically lock in so people don't forget to lock them in, and in case there is a malfunction. Anyway i was just wondering..lol great video sir, if you could get back would appreciate it, thank you..🇺🇸

30. My 04 Honda odyssey's jack points are to far apart for the 5000SLX unit even with the pricy extensions IT comes up short. I still used it and it worked fine without the extensions.

35. Just bought one for my shop for quick services and for the space. Works like a charm.

36. your supposed to bleed those cylinders out with the air you put in it it helps the fluid get into the rams thats the reason for the 50 psi in each ramp
