  1. Happy Back To School Day… There's a special moment thats included in this video… It involves a school thats no longer available in prison and why and who is responsible for that… When you see it. Comment and let me know.

  2. Hi Joe. I'm definitely in favour of education for prisoners. I think it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said something along the lines of education being the most important key to changing the world, and I whole- heartedly believe this. Most Aussie inmates have little to no formal education. I think that the main benefit of education is that it opens your eyes to other options that might be available to you, which could make a huge difference to someone who thinks their only option is to do something frowned upon by society – especially if that person doesn't even understand why the action is wrong!

  3. Dam Joe I been trying to tell u how my blind brother can do anything as far as half way house s or class s in general because his blind he is in a level 2 in Ohio please help me blasted how. Wrong the doing my brother imagine being blind n the joint

  4. I was in college in the 90's. I couldn't get help for school because of all the money that was going to prisoners. I deserved to be able to get help for school. If you want to go to school and your in prison you shouldn't be first on the list to get money for their education. White people are already minorities…we shouldn't have to fight to get an education as well.

  5. The sad thing is, high school graduates used to commit crimes just to go to prison for 5 years and get free college through prison pel grants. If there's one thing Americans are good at doing, it's abusing the system. True story.

  6. Guys. Joe. The president doesn't make the laws. Congress does. Congress eliminated it. With a Democrat president, we had a trip Republican Congress. Republicans eliminated the grant for prisoners.

  7. You're even reading the article that says it was Congress. Republicans got rid of it bc they always take money from education. And prisoners.

  8. “And I ain’t recitiscism” lmao

  9. “got my ‘good enough diploma’ and i ain’t ‘recidivism’!!”

lmaoooo i love joe so much 😅😂😂😂

  10. You should actually run for president you’d prob do better than our fucked ass choices

  11. “Algebra 1.1 I was so bad at math they had me in algebra 1 and a half” no joe you were great 😅

  12. Dropped out twice my senior year within the first few months of my first time I got arrested went back got in a fight had charges pending on me but then went back to the local alternative school and graduated 2020

  13. Joe I dropped out after my 11th year (after failing one and being held back due to behavior)… I saw in the people I associated with where my life would be and I never got locked up. I went back and graduated at 21 and now work at a warehouse like many others with no education and many with criminal history. I could have and should have listened to my loved ones and mentors who would have put me through college and got me a career. Education and pursuing a meaningful/successful future is Paramount. Now I'm behind on bills almost indefinitely. Living on the bottom sucks. Although I hope very few minors watch your channel, the emphasis on doing well when you can is right on. 👍👍

  14. Employers shouldn't be able to see if a person has a criminal record unless its a job like working in a bank and the crime was something to do with money and even then it shouldn't be permanent. If a person is still a criminal, they aren't going to wait 10 years for example to start doing it again

  15. This video just changed my opinion of Bill Clinton! I thought I disagreed with everything about Bill Clinton. This video is proof that he at least got one thing right.

  16. I can't help but wonder if some of the prisons were putting pressure on Clinton to get rid of the grant, because I know a lot of them make money by keeping as many people as they can locked up. If they reduce recidivism, they lose money.

  17. Post hole digger!! PhD! You should go in the road and be a comedian! Prison comedy is a good niche. 🙂

Plus, you're an amazing Motivator. You could do corporate gigs and speak at high schools.
