On July 18, 2015 the 4th annual ETCG ‘Meet Up’ was held in Mason, OH. It was the biggest one to date. Attendance had doubled from the previous year. Honestly, I’m not sure what I’m going to do for next year if it continued to grow at this rate.

Despite the heat, and the shop being filled almost to capacity, everyone had a great time. We had some special guests this year:

TheHumbleMechanic: https://www.youtube.com/user/HumbleMechanic

And also Jeff Whisenand, inventor of the Power Probe: http://www.powerprobe.com

And I can’t forget a surprise guest, RedneckRickem: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClhz_V05l1gL8aC-y1aU_tA

Most special of all, my dad.

My dad also brought with him a metal sign that my brother Mark had made for me. It’s an awesome sign and Charles treated to liberate it from my shop. Glad he didn’t follow through with that. I really like my new sign.

Let’s not ignore the elephant, or in this case, the shop equipment in the room. Yes, in support of the Fixing it Forward project BendPak/Ranger has once again outfitted my shop with some of the latest equipment. My compressor is so new it doesn’t even have a page on their website yet. Here’s more info on those.

Air Compressor: (Product Page NA at this time): http://www.bendpak.com/compressors/air-compressors/

Tire Changer: http://www.bendpak.com/wheel-service/tire-changers/r76atr.aspx

Tire Balancer: http://www.bendpak.com/wheel-service/wheel-balancers/dst-2420.aspx

Brake Lathe: http://www.bendpak.com/wheel-service/brake-lathes/rl-8500xlt.aspx

This new equipment has really taken my shop to the next level and I was glad to share it with the 2015 ‘Meet Up’ attendees for the first time. In fact, they even got to use it for the first time. Both Matt and Lee Ann helped break in the new tire equipment.

I’d like to thank each and every person that made the trip. I appreciate each and every one of you.

  1. One day New Zealand meet would be nice.🤣🤣Auckland🤣

  2. Good to see that ETCG is liked in the car repair community. I like humble mechanic so it was good to see him on there. Eric I’m glad you do something that makes you happy. By the look of it, you entertain a lot of people throughout the world. Stay dirty! You should definitely have another meet up soon!

  3. I watch lots of your video's Eric and have to say what a wonderful guy you are. I'm an old retired guy and take probably a different perspective on your video's than some others do. I saw from this video how much of an influence you have on the young people. They look at you like some kids do a rock star. You're right up there with Mike Rowe, Tom Silva and that crew from PBS doing their best to show the youth of this country that there are other avenues of success other than "college" Maybe others don't look at it that way, I don't know but that's how I see it. Glad there are people like you in this world Eric. Keep up the great work.

  4. This was really nice. It made me really happy to see all these people come together for some reason. Good work Eric, you're a great dude.

  5. OMG I think I have a new goal to add to my list of crap I wanna get done. Think it's gonna be to make sure I can make the 2017 meet up!

  6. … i was searching for car diagnostic tool descriptions and what i have found have amazed me ! I'em so glad some one found the time and soul to do the job u have done and honestly teach while seriously working and not only that but showed the world the way and brought back the educational shows that i really missed from early child hood days … thank u Eric u made me stay all night long in a rapid succession with no pause dissecting material u made mesmerized and amazed in all the positive ways that exist … respect and good will from Serbia !

  7. Eric I have joined your channel some days ago after watching a couple of tear down videos. Mostly out of curiosity as I don't own the car. And after checking out your channel and skimming through some of your videos I am greatly impressed! You are a real inspiration, considering your story (the events behind your 2008 year declaration, your consecutive founding of that channel and its growth and now all those people around you). In your "Episode 1, Creds – EricTheCarGuy" video was that line about a chill in the garage "…if you keep working, you'll be fine, so don't stop working, keep moving", for me it was very motivating despite it being a part of an interactive joke. Now I see that you probably felt what you said, you kept going and going and hear you are! So I just want to wish you to keep going farther and farther and make all you dreams a reality! Its nice to see people like you.
