Tune in to PowerNation this week as Katie welcomes custom painter and builder Randy Borcherding from Painthouse and his current creation, this 1957 convertible Bel Air. The unique twist to this build is Randy and his team originally restored it about 8 years ago, but just recently owner Doug Foshee came to them asking for some modern updates, like a supercharged LS-9 that makes over 550 horsepower, new custom EVOD wheels, Nitto tires and a new exhaust. Now the challenge was not to cut or damage the existing paint or body! Randy will fill us in on that, plus talk about the custom PPG color he created for the car “Randy Apple Redâ€Â. On a side note, owner Doug Foshee created an organization call NextOp that finds veterans that are transitioning out of the military and helps them get jobs.
