It was a year and a half ago when Uber set up an Advanced Technologies Center in Pittsburgh. Well… as of right now, Uber announced they have the worlds first self driving Uber on the streets of Pittsburg PA.

  1. There's no way I'm getting into a driverless car ~there are too many variables on the road the cameras and sensors cannot pick up like cues, hand gestures ,lane timing etc~ there are endless scenarios on the road for this to never be plausible and now we have to anticipate a driverless car and the 'Logical steps 'it will take next ~give me a break ~ it's probably going to cause a lot more traffic now because it's not as quick ~ you have to almost be psychic when driving

  2. LOL at your comment about more maintenance and mechanics. Sure if they actually buy Fords LOL. Go to electric and they'd need hardly anything for maintenance, and the cars could drive back to the charger before they run out of charge. I calculate that my cost to drive on electricity is 1/5 the cost of gas, so I doubt they'd go with gas cars, they're too expensive to drive & maintain.
