  1. I think what matters most at the end of the day, is the enjoyment that you get out of the car. If you can achieve that enjoyment with an engine and trans swap, so be it. I can't imagine that an $150,000 paperweight Will bring you much in the way of joy. Our time here is too short to let our daily decisions hinge on the opinions of purists when it comes to these vintage cars. Go forth and do great things, especially when they bring a smile to your face.

  2. Definitely manual swap it and fit an aftermarket ECM to it! Keep the V12 and keep it Lamborghini at its core but with modern electronics controlling the engine. You could rid the car of almost all of its Lamborghini electronics by fitting a PDM as well and a dash display.

  3. The answer is, it depends on your priorities. If your plan is to have a "forever" Murci for yourself, then just turbo LS+manual swap. Pretty easy to me, especially given how you spoke about your other cars. The reliability and self-fixability are the key priorities to solve for in that case. If you are not sure if you want to keep it, then keep the v12 and deal with the one-time pain to fix the stock computer to properly handle the clutch so that it is in a state where it can easily be prepped to sell. You can also look into just replacing the ECU with aftermarket to just skip over the "Lamborghini stuff", but that won't fix the fact that the transmission itself doesn't feel great.

  4. I have an idea why don't build like an 1GZ-FE v12 form an toyota century turbo or super charge it and put an flat plane crank in it 12 to 2 headers(like a top secret supra build engine) you will get reliable, powerful, great sounding hig horsepower car that will be funt put an manual transmission from an r8 the 6 speed and have fun I think I am right @bisforbuild

  5. I don't think another LS build would be that exciting to watch. We know you can do that. It would be cool to see you get a three or four rotor rotary engine from Rob and put it in there. But the real question for your is … what do you want to drive? Also, please go ahead with the model 3 build. That would be fun to watch.

  6. Please don't change the drivetrain, the sounds that V12 is able to make are insane. A murcielago IS a V12. If you go for a different engine you might just as well get a whole different car. If the doors are the only reason to keep it you should just sell it and put scissor doors on a peugeot or so

  7. You need a manual transmission and FuelTech . I'm pretty sure if you hit FuelTech they will be more than please to collaborate. The owner of the company had the same problems with his Ferrari 360 and now it's all controlled by FuelTech and manual swapped. And it's also Turbo

  8. Not sure if the Lambo has it too, but often the motorized manual transmissions (like yours) has also manual calibration (like screws in the headlights, or other type) also is worth is the servos working as they should, it could be simple motor that is not lubed or dried over time and just needs the cleaning and greasing tour.
