  1. Do the lads get paid by the high five or something?

I reckon I've seen more high fives in this Ruby series than the sum total I've ever seen in my life before.

  2. James is right. In the early 90s I had to replace the head in my 1979 VW Golf GTI. I thought I knew what I was doing. I had a Chilton manual and I still screwed it up. I put my head gasket in upside down and siezed the new head. So 750 German Marks for each head and an additional 100 marks for the gaskets and head bolts. That little screwup cost me an additional $1150. Total replacement cost was $2500. The extra $150 was for pizza and beer for use of the motor bay and the motor sergeants presence while I was doing the work. He helped occasionally. I will never forget to look for the mark on the top of the head gasket again…… Good work Garrett!

  3. Please keep showcasing the builds and changes. Watching something break then go to fault analysis/tear down, then to the build, the tune and dyno and then back to the track. Easily the most interesting part of the channel and it's Hella informative.

  4. Anybody else notice that the dumpster has fire all around it this time where before it was just one flame inside it? I'm weak lol

  5. I used to run the Chrome Molly ring cell at Hasting Manufacturing. When I built my 350 sb .30 over I used the rings I made. Was awesome to know I assembled the parts I created.

  6. "Rod bolts are a must."

Breaks three rods and all the big ends are still attached to the crank.

Yeah, you don't need rod bolts for stock parts turbo cars.

  7. Love the truck nuts just chillin on the parts washer in the back ground😂😂

  8. I love how you guys have that motorized HF $8 grinder but some companies try to sell $300 hand crank grinders 😂

  9. Damn no 500 mile break In I know it’s a “junk yard motor” but damn lol

  10. Feel for ya doing file to fit rings… I did a set of file to fit rings for a turbo 4 almost 20 years ago and remember it taking quite some time. Pretty sure I was thinking "I'm glad this isn't a V8" when I was doing them. Glad I did it though…

  11. Hi guys totally loved this engine build …I’ve seen a few before but never seen how the gapping was done loved it and learned a lot ….. ty…. now I’m continuing to watch

  12. all that work and new parts would have expected you to change to billet pistons and some good rods for a few extra bucks. good work non the less
