Our ride of the week is named “Tankenstein” and it’s a wild one. It’s a basically a rat rod tank! Shawn Cormier out of Ontario, Canada built this beast of a vehicle. It’s a 1947 Mercury 2 ton truck that he combined with a World War 2 era universal carrier.
Tankenstein has a small block Chevy 305 under the hood and is the world’s only rat rod-tank. There’s no steering wheel, but two levers in the driver seat instead. It has the original glass in the windows and even some bullet holes in the body. Shawn says he likes to take on projects that nobody’s ever done before. For updates on this tank and other builds you can see his YouTube channel, ShawnCFarm. Have a ride you think should be ride of the week? Send it to us at rtmgearhead@rtmtv.com
