Chevrolet has already made an impact in the electric car world with the Chevy Bolt and now we’ve learned that the 2017 Chevy Cruze Diesel sedan has better highway mileage than the Toyota Prius.

It gets a total of 52MPG on the highway with a manual transmission, which is 2 miles per gallon more than the Prius gets on the highway. Although the Prius gets 52MPG in the combined cycle, it beats the Cruze Diesel overall but the Cruze is now superior on the highway, which is good news for travelers and commuters. The new Cruze has a 1.6-liter turbo diesel that makes 137 horsepower, 240 lb.-ft. of torque and costs $24,670.
