Fixes For E36
Steering Wheel = Buy a 3 arm Steering Wheel from M3 looks very nice and have a air bag included
Steering Wheel Adjustment = My e36 316i Coupe have under the steering wheel a lever and you can adjust it by puling, how a M3 don t have it…
Climate Control = So True
Headlights Forgot Noise = So True, but i always turn off lights before engine so… i guess i don t ear it much.
Plastics Interior = So True
Shift Gear Box = Buy a new one
Mickey- all M3's (e36 gen) were notorious for a sloppy shift throw. Youre not alone haha

Ok, 5 things you "absolutely can't stand" (to quick fix)
1) Smaller M-steering wheel with airbag is no brainer 100$
2) Fix freon. Read manual.
3) There is mod for that.
4) How much clips did cost you?
5) Pins, replaced externally. Silly cheap.

Steeringwheel adjustment and klima you cant change,
I got a 1992 325i E36 it has adjustable steeringwheel, and auto light on and off (cable Cost like 20 Bucks easy install No more buzz Sound) and you gear thingy is shot and needs new bushings mine is thight ad Hell ✌️
These are mainly things that starts breaking on 20 years old car. You have to do maintenance on your car. I have Alfa Romeo which is almost 10 years younger than your's BMW and also have loosely gearshift, it's mainly bushings or broken linkage, and you could replace your steering wheel with newer model, e36 from '98 have 3 star type sexy steering wheel with airbag also.

You can get a 3 spoke e36 m steering wheel it's not that expensive atleast in my country about 50-100 dollars depending on its leather condition, but you can make it like new for about 60 bucks, taking it to the shop to get new leather. in my opinion it looks great, feels too 🙂

Dude the temp adjustment on the vent is designed for say if you wanted a quick cold blast of air for your hands while you have the heat on. I have the same on my E92m3 so i asked BMW 🙂
