  1. Not sure if I agree with this. You should be taking measurements from the wheel hub to the first obstacle on the back (e.g coil spring) and the start of your fender lip on the front measurement. So rather than using the wheels to measure the offset, use the wheel hub at the right compression (i.e on jack stands).
