There have been reported carbon monoxide leaks in Ford Explorers and Interceptor Utilities for almost a year. And The Drive reports that the automaker is finally announcing it will offer to pay for the 1.4 million vehicles affected by the issue.
Numerous police departments across the country reported officers feeling sick in certain conditions while in patrol vehicles and after government and NHTSA investigation, the complaints were confirmed. Ford, however, says they tested vehicles and still didn’t find high levels of carbon monoxide. If you have a vehicle that’s affected you can take it to a local dealership starting November 1st.
