Burt Reynolds continues his story of the interview he had with Johnny Carson. After disclosing the shenanigans in Part 1, Reynolds acknowledges he either went too far and wouldn ruin his career or he and Johnny would have a relationship like any other.
Luckily for Reynolds, Johnny Carson’s team asked to have him back! He attributes the Carson Show to progressing his career as much, if not more, than any movie he ever did.

He was 100% right. If you hit on Carson it was the golden ticket in any decade he was on.
Your looks didn’t hurt Burt. 😉
Burt's fearlessness is one reason why his fans like him. He was so self-assured at all times that he made people envy him.
He brings my childhood memories of TV back. He and Johnny were golden playing off each other.
He's telling some great facts here.Burt doesn't seem like he's really gone when you see clips like this.
Burt Reynolds!!!! What more can you say?..lol
Burt was always sensitive not to upstage Johnny. When Burt got a laugh he was always a gentleman and would set up Johnny so Johnny could get the next laugh
Two of my heroes as a kid growing up: Burt Reynolds and Evil Knievel…
I'm old. I watched Johnny every night in the 70's-80's. I remember the shaving cream/cutting the tie stunt. It was hilarious! I just can't remember Burt hosting the show. Ever. And 30 times?!? Maybe I took Mondays off too. LoL
Again, Love it!
Both Dead. Doesn't Matter
Kimmell, Fallon, Colbert… take note.
I miss Burt!! A MAN's MAN
Burt is great!
LUV to listen to Burt’s stories about anyone & anything…especially Mr. Johnny Carson!
I wish he stayed young forever and drove his Trans Am
It's like Rickles and Sinatra, no one could mess with Sinatra like Rickles did.
I love this! Wonderful!
Burt is one of us! That’s why we love him!!!
Carson's Tonight Show MADE STARS, ask Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey, Rosanne Barr, Jerry Seinfeld, ect……….
I could spend all day listening to Burt tell his stories. RIP sir.
Where can I see this entire interview?
