black ss stripes. hahahhaa yeah right. I got a original SS. they had no stripes. Those are Z stripes my friend. 402 SS had blacked out tail.
No such thing as 70 and a half! Nice car though.
I miss those days, Rick and Tommy were such a great team. The new guy now looks too much like a hipster that wants to be a muscle car guy….
Why they called 396 on the smaller cars? or a 400 in others? can you say insurance companies? Smaller weaker according to them,,, better,, but they are wrong
don't try talking all serious with that shit in your ear
Gold lesson. Take pictures

Great video, not sure I would painted it back to the original color though. There is a reason someone changed it to blue. Lime green is not that popular. To each his own I guess!
4:40 my sentimental value motor, it’s time for you to go.
I’m too late, but the stripes were “Z28 Stripes” not SS when referring to second a gen Camaro. No SS had stripes. Looks good either way though.
Everytime i see My Cousin Jose Rivera Martinez Working on his 1972 Split Pumper Camaro SS you Know I had to be there to see what was Cooking. I Took my Skill to a Other New Level Thanks to Them that i spin Things Around and Learn all I Could. You Guys are Rocking here now with a Time Capsule when I Was in Junior High School
Amazing💪Transformation Guys.
I have a 73 Z/28 since the 90's. With the exception of the bumper-ettes, I don't care for the R/S nose. It was on my car when I got it, I removed it all except the bumpers..
Another California rebuild of a nice clean car…Be great to see an actual rotten car get restored, something most of US are actually dealing with, instead of these solid beauty queen.
The rims on that Trans Am look bad

Harika çalışma 👍👍
So, the 69 Trans Am is nothing but a fake….it's nothing but a firebird convertible, fixed up…. custom built to appear like the real T/A, so don't call it a T/A… the REAL 1969 Trans Am convertible was VERY rare car, only 8 were built by the factory for 1969….And all 8 still exist, restored, running and driving, and 1 of these is in a museum (as of 2018)…
I wanna see more of that mustang
put in a new gas tank, they are cheap
Yeah ! 396 ! Put in a 5 speed manual.
The block is not the exact same thats a 2 bolt main block the L78 has 4 bolt mains.
not sure about 1970 camaros but firebirds and trans ams have smaller recessed stamp under the vent and striker in door jamb then 1971-1974 if camaro is the same this car is not a 1970
454's block is the same as 396 block. My choice would be a 454. Y'all just did a 454 build and y'all got big numbers on the dino..
Don't remember the exact numbers, but they were serious big. Parts are more common to.
My buddies car that he restored was the real deal but odd car. 1970 L78 396, 4 speed, rs, ss, red with a black vinyl top, and black interior. Standard wheels and no spoiler. He added the 454 and it is still roaming around the NW somewhere, but he has passed on to a larger arena.
Spoon-glasses , check !
So the green color is the original. Who would paint it that horrid blue, with pimp purple velour. Excellent!
that drop top TA is sick as tits! and that's coming from a MOPAR guy
Looks like my '73.
Another ruined Pontiac with a Chevy motor
I really hate how shows like this are recorded. Two people taking turns finishing what the other began saying and trying awkwardly to make it seem natural like when one stands in the foreground then turns away to go off camera while the other walks up from the background to….again….finish what the other guy was saying. It's all odd, unnatural and difficult to watch. It reminds me of a variety show.
more correctly thats a clone if not the same package as it was ordered
I have been looking for a set of the 14" 1970 SS AV code Camaro Rally Wheels for a few years now, I am restoring a 1970 SS/RS L78 Camaro and I sure could use them if you guys want to sell the wheels, I have a set of AV wheels but they are for a later build. Thanks….
Mark
They did make 400 small blocks in some vehicles those years. Monte Carlo has them
Why dont you wear gloves???
A 375 l78 woulda been a 4 bolt main block
Never take a factory dashboard.out of a 70 camaro..biggest mistake you can make..nothin new fits. It's all misfit stuff.

375.hp motor is a total new boss of motor..a 300 up 402 is very lame..so a 375..needs to be a 67 to 69 block to get the real. Hoss.motor..72 stuff is a song motor..get real hear..67.to 69 motor stuff is the best.
GM PUNCHED out the 396 to 402 for emissions certification , plus they had alot of tooling around at the TOTOWONDA plant and wanted to use it up knowing the BBC is soon to be phased out in passenger cars …………….. https://www.chevydiy.com/historical-review-big-block-chevrolet-complete-history-big-block-chevrolet-engines/
I saw another episode with the motor teardown…got the wrong heads…should be closed chamber rect port with 2.20 intake valves.. same heads came on 427
